Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaassssssssseeeeeeeeee stop giving away ya story.

I have read so many books where the author either gives away the next chapter or the whole story. That defeats the purpose of me reading to see what's gonna happen next.

I understand a lot of us like to include an author's note at the end of chapters, but if you about to tell me what happens next, don't write nothing.

An author's note is not required... But if you must, just ask a question hinting at what's about to happen

Example!

Do you think character A and character B will get through this or nah?

Do you think this is the end of character C?

Or something like that...

Don't tell me in chapter 12 that they gon get back together, and by chapter 15 they together by some "miracle" bruh! I knew they was getting back together 3 chapters ago, hell we all did

Don't tell me in chapter 9 that it isn't the end of the crazy muh fucka and then all of sudden this crazy person comes outta the blue in chapter 17... Uh no! We knew they was coming just not when

I will change my whole entire book if somebody even guesses how my story gon play out ... "oh you got a feeling this part was a dream?" (My thoughts: damn right it was a dream, but not anymore) "Nah homie this reality"

Moral of the rant: stop telling ya story... It eliminates the element of surprise
