I was working at the animal shelter, helping feed some animals there when one a co-worker came in, "hey y/n..theres a boy and a girl here with a puppy, can you help them out please? You know I'm not good with dogs".

I nodded and placed a food bowl down and went to the counter, "oh? Ethan, Eden what's up?" Eden held out the puppy in her arms and I quickly took it out of her arms. "Oh poor baby...where was he?" "Well...."

3rd p.o.v

Eden and Ethan was out walking around and chatting when they heard a whimper "what was that?" Eden looked at Ethan and he shrugged, "it sounded like a dog.." they stayed silent until they heard it again so they followed the noise until they saw an abandoned puppy shivering "oh my god" Eden picked up the puppy and held it close to her to keep it warm, "we have to take it to the animal shelter" Ethan nodded and they ran off.

Reader's p.o.v

After I gave the puppy a bath and fed him I let another one of my co-workers give it medicine.

"Thank you guys so much for bringing him here, he was weak and wouldnt have been able to make it out there for another couple of days...." it got silent for bit until Eden gave Ethan a look, "hey I think I'm gonna head off, you two have fun though, oh and he sure to- I dont, tell each other stuff-" she nudged Ethan "see you guys" she quickly dashed out of the store which confused me, "what does she mean by that?" I looked at Ethan and he just looked down shyly, messing with his fingers.

"I uh-well....I like you a lot and she wanted me to tell you.." I grinned and leaned over the counter grabbing Ethan's hand "perhaps i may like you back".
