i don't own the walking dead. but if i did, carl would be alive and thriving.

just another one of my southern gothic tales i bring to you.

the premise of this book is based on "the dark" (2018) if you have not seen it please do so i can have someone to obsess over it with. also i loved the idea of roanoke and cursed lands and the deeper lore than just mindless zombies.

but just so we are all on the same page carl is blind and she's a conscious morally obligated walker-type undead creature

for those who read this book originally, i will be changing the oc's name. i had originally named her after another author on here who inspired me and i see now that was sort of a weird, out of pocket thing to do. as much as i do appreciate this other author for her support over the years and she was very kind and receptive to me creepily naming an oc after her, the oc will now bear a new name.

there is no true faceclaim for our oc, however if you'd like to put a face to the character, here are who i recommend:
- courtney eaton
- young! alexis bledel
- ciara bravo

this will be the only author's note.
