A Daddy's World is focused on a hood girl named Kodi and her family. Kodi is a beautiful and attractive girl who gets up like every other person, right? Wrong. Kodi's family is living in what is called "The Struggle."
Every day when Kodi wakes up, she has no clue what could happen or go wrong in her life.
She doesn't know when she might eat a balanced meal or what drama she could be a part of. Throughout the story, she realizes how under-appreciated she is in this world every day. She has goals and morals but that doesn't mean she has value, and she begins to see that. She knows that she's a good girl, compared to her peers, but that won't stop her from acting out of her character. Truthfully, she doesn't see a point in staying the same when her friends don't seem mind how she acts and her family doesn't bother to notice any change in her morals.
Aside from Kodi's personal problems, her family is on the verge of getting kicked out of their house. Her mother is stressing, her brother is having problems with his son, Lil Tyshawn's, mother and her friends have their own problems.
Her life has always been problematic, but it has never been as bad as it's going to be soon. Kodi, her family and friends are put to the test with pressure, especially after Kodi SLEEPS with her homegirls boy-toy.
