Doyoung and Taeil met for the first time on the last official day of school.

It was during the last exams which were being finished by the last students while both of them were waiting for their friends in the hall.

The two of them sat on the construction of four bright yellow plastic chairs, occupying the two side chairs while their bags separated them. Back then Doyoung had no idea who Taeil was and Taeil had no idea about the other boy either-they just recognised their faces but couldn't connect them to a proper name.

So, naturally, their meeting was pretty awkward.

Taeil was finishing his last essay for the year and saving his mark from history class from dropping down to C. He wasn't average student with fifty per cent knowledge, no, but history gave him a lot of troubles. All those years and events were just too hard to stuff into his cabbage head.

It looked quite uncomfortable as the boy was rewriting everything on his knee, some book placed under the paper so it wouldn't look like he put it into a washing machine and it went through the whole metabolise system of his dog. He was a clumsy dork but also a big perfectionist-as bizarre as it sounds.

Just as he was about to erase the nth mistake he did, his pen fell on the group and rolled a bit before stopping in front of the dark-haired boy. Taeil widened his eyes and didn't dare to look up-the sound surely got the student's attention, there was no doubting to that.

In a fast motion, Taeil put his work away and stretched out for the damned pen from his seat but because of his small height and short hands, there were at least five centimetres separating him. Well, great, what now?

The pen of dark blue colour still laid on its place as the boy tried to use telekinesis-unsuccessfully, and after twenty seconds or so, he gave up. He bent his knees and finally was able to reach for the thing if it wasn't for someone being faster. It seemed like the boy noticed him or perhaps, to Taeil's horror, watched him the whole time, and got hold of the pen in a second.

Taeil was still kneeling on the ground when the boy stood up in front of him. The scene surely looked weird.

"Uh, oh-" Taeil clumsily stood up as well, facing the boy. "Thank you." He smiled nervously at the someone who was also tall as hell because it made him look up and stretch his neck.

"It's okay." To his surprise, the boy smiled too, a lot more friendly before he sat back.

Taeil thought it would end there but the universe seemed to be having fun because of him that day. After he finished the last line of the last letter, he put the paper into transparent wrapper while reminding himself he has to give it to his history teacher, like right now. He stood up.

"Wait-" A voice made him snap his head in its direction and he once again got met with the boy's eyes. Which were, by the way, really beautiful.

"You dropped this," The student handed him some paper with Taeil taking it hesitatingly. He slowly unwrapped the note while still holding his work and gasped when he read through its message.
