Bad Liar

"So you and Abel made love I'm assuming?"

"Yeah we did..... it was incredible." She smiled to herself remaining silence for a few seconds thinking about it.

"Is your song Bad Liar about him?" The therapist asked her.

"Yes. Abel and I started talking while him and Bella were together but it wasn't on a relationship type of level. It was strictly friendship. He was there for me when I was battling through my disease, Lupus. He and I got close when he attended my LA concert. We hung out backstage in my dressing room after my concert.

Selena narrating

"I can't believe you of all people showed up at my show."

"I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not." He chuckled.

"It's just I didn't think you'd be into my music."

"Of course I am. Otherwise I wouldn't be here."

"Well I'm glad you're here. I've seen many people at my show but you are by far my favorite." She smiled at him.

"Yeah?" He smiled back.

"Yes. So where's your girl?" Selena asked him seeing his whole body change and his smile drop.

"Not here."

"Well I see that but I-"

"You look amazing in that dress. It fits you perfectly."

"Thanks." She smiled at him.

"You're welcome."

"So I'm taking that this is your favorite attire that I wore tonight, am I correct?"

"Very correct."

"So what was your favorite song that I performed?"

"To be honest it was Good for you"

"Why is that?" She chuckled.

"Is this a trick question? The choreography and your bodysuit it was sexy."

I was blushing beyond hard that it was burning my cheeks. I couldn't believe it, Abel called me sexy basically. We talked for at least 2 hours just about life itself. When he found out I was in rehab months later, the moment I got out he was there. He wanted to get ahold of me sooner but I didn't have my phone when I was in rehab. They weren't allowed. We were talking a lot. Like everyday. Eventually he started feeling something and I already felt something it just gotten stronger and stronger. I liked him for the longest time you know, but what I was beginning to feel was on another type of level. I began to ignore his texts, ignore his calls, I didn't want to complicate things. Next thing I know he texts me telling me that he broke it off with Bella. I didn't believe him until the news was everywhere. I had to break the silence by contacting him. I was packing for the AMA's.

"Hello stranger." He spoke with his soft elegant voice.

"So it is true?"

"What is?" He asked.

"You and Bella are over? Or is that a stupid rumor?"

"It's no rumor Selena, it's true. Why have you been dodging me?"

I was silent because I was too busy sinking it all in.

"Hello? You still there? Selena?"

"Yeah I'm here...why did you break it off?"

"We barely saw each other as much with our busy schedules and I just wasn't happy anymore."

"Sorry to hear that. Maybe when it's all said and done, you'd get back together."

"What makes you think I would want that? I left her for a reason Selena. I can't stop thinking about you."

"Abel, don't...."

"Don't what? And you haven't answered me, why have you been dodging me?"

"Don't make it seem like I'm the reason you and her broke up. I will feel bad."

"It's not your fault. I'm crazy about you. How could someone not be?"

"Abel, I'm not that special...."

"To me you are. So are you going to answer my question or not?"

"Because I have feelings for you Abel...."

"Really?"

"Yes. And it isn't right."

"Of course it is. I'm single, and you're single. Baby, this is perfect. I have feelings for you too. Why do you think I couldn't be with her anymore and why do you think I've been blowing up your phone silly? Look you can't keep dodging me because we get to see each other for the AMA's next week."

"Who said I won't dodge you then."

"Because that's not what your heart wants. I know you aren't going to dodge me Selena. Because I know this is a perfect opportunity for us."

"Abel but this isn't right."

"It's more than right Selena. I left Bella for you."

"I didn't ask you to."

"And I didn't need your permission either. I did it because I want to show you what love is. I know the pain he put you through, all I want to do is show you how toxic he was for you by loving you the right way. Will you let me Selena? Would you let me love you?"

"I have nothing to lose Abel. My heart is already shattered in a million of pieces, what more pain could I possibly take?"

"You won't get any pain from me because all I have is love to give to you. You just have to put your faith in me."
