It was the first time I would be in the spotlight since canceling my world tour and entering rehab. I was beyond excited yet nervous at the same time. I kept it simple, I wore a red dress. I was here for my best friend, Taylor. We hardly miss award shows. When we attend together it's a helluva show because we tend to dance the night away.

I posed in front of the red carpet and I must say I never felt so alive. It felt good to finally come out of hiding. It's what I needed and it's what my fans deserve. I know they've been dying to see me, so here I am. The last time I attended the AMA's I performed "The Heart Wants What It Wants". I was broken back then, this time around I want to show a total different side of me and so far so good. I remember sitting in the audience watching Abel perform "Starboy"
"He is so cute" Taylor said as she stood and danced next to Selena.
"More than cute." Selena mumbled as she smiled at the handsome man performing on stage.
"Rumor has it, him and Bella broke up."
"It's no rumor" Selena smiled to herself.
"What?" Taylor looked over at her.
"I said, it's no rumor."
"How would you know?"
I wanted to mess with Taylor because I know she's an anxious person so I decided not to tell her how I knew Abel and Bella broke. So I decided to sing loudly to Starboy while continuing dancing. The night was full of happiness, it got to favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. I didn't expect myself to win but I WON! I stood and hugged my manager and cousin Priscilla completely surprised about it. Taylor was backstage because she either performed or was about to, don't really remember. All I remember is being overwhelmed with joy. This is how I make a comeback.
"Thank you guys so much, um... In 2014 this stage was actually the first time that I was authentically, 100 percent honest with all of you. I think it's safe to say that must of you know my life whether I like it or not. And.. I had to stop... because I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside. I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down. I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what's in here" she said placing her hand over her heart before continuing. "I'm not trying to get validation nor do I need it anymore. All I can say from the bottom of my heart is I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to be able to share what I love every single day with people that I love. I have to say thank you so much to my fans because you guys are so damn loyal and I don't know what I did to deserve you." Selena said as she started to get emotional. "If you are broken you do not have to stay broken. If that's anything whether you respect me or not that's one thing you should know about me. I care about people. Thank you so much for this. This is for you."
When I got backstage I hugged a few people who congratulated me and complimented me on my speech. I was honestly searching for Taylor but instead I ran into the person who I didn't think I'd run into, Abel.
"That—That was one helluva speech you made out there." He told her as he walked up to her and hugged her. She hugged him back feeling her heart racing, she felt so alive being in his arms.
"Thank you so much Abel." She whispered enjoying the comfort.
"You're welcome, you look beautiful in that dress by the way." He told her as he rubbed her back softly.
"Stop, you're making me blush" she chuckled as she pulled away from the hug.
"I love when you do that"
"Do what?" She smiled at him.
"Smile. You wear your smile so well. I love it."
I was feeling so warm inside. He was making me feel something I never felt before. I couldn't explain it but I LOVED IT!
"Never stop smiling" he told her moving a strain of hair behind her ear.
"Do you have plans after the show?" She asked him.
"No, I don't" He told her.
"Would you like to come over? We can talk, eat food and snacks, and watch movies. If you're not down for it, it's okay."
"No, I would love to do that with you."
"Awesome. I was hoping you'd would" She continued to smile. "I'll send you my address." She said before leaning forward giving him a kiss on his cheek. "See you after the show Abel" she touched his shoulder with her hand before she walked passed. She knew he was still watching her so she looked back giving him a smile before facing forward walking off.
