The next couple of days went smoothly, with no signs of Rosa's family coming by. Her fear of them visiting, was slowing boiling down - maybe they had decided against coming to Australia anyway.

Every day she learnt more and more of the animals in the zoo, and how important they all individually were for the ecosystem. The co-workers seemed more like friends by now, her bond with Bindi and Terri got closer and closer, and Robert. Rosa crushed a little bit more for him everyday.

She would watch him feed the giraffes with love, passionately hold the snakes, do interesting demonstrations at the Crocoseum, and sometimes he would even help the wombats dig burrows until his hair would be all messed up, and he was covered in sand. Rosa giggled by the sight and giggled loudly, when he shook his head full of sand onto her. They both laughed, and playfully pushed each other until Rosa fell on top of him on the ground. The laughter once between them quickly disappeared. Their faces inches away from each other's, and Robert's hands on her arms. Skin touching skin. Suddenly, time and space was forgotten. They just looked into each other's orbs. Lost - but found.

"Mum, what are those people doing?" A small child's voice suddenly said, and they both quickly snapped out of their moment. That was when they realized, they were still inside the wombat enclosure, where visitors clearly could see them, and by now a small crowd had been gathering around them. They both stood up, and dusted themselves off. "Haha... Eh, good day guys!" Robert tried to "save" the incident. "We're-we're just -" Rosa tried to come up with something. "We're just cleaning, yeah," Robert plastered on a big smile, and they both pretended to dust off the grass. It was a very strange sight.

The small crowd, all gave them confused looks, but slowly started to go away, now that the fun was over. Robert and Rosa looked at each other, and burst into laughter. "That was ridiculous!" Rosa muttered in between her giggles. Robert shook his head: "I don't know what happened between us there..."

They looked at each other. Robert was closely paying attention to her face. Taking in her beauty - her light blue eyes, curly hair, freckles, everything. He thought, she was so beautiful. His lips yearned for hers, and Rosa felt the same about him, but they were both hesitant, not wanting to make the other one feel uncomfortable

"We should probably go back," Robert then said. Rosa was disappointed. She had hoped for something more to happen. Robert slowly began walking towards the gates of the exhibit.

No, this is not going to happen, Rosa thought to herself. She was determined to get what she craved so deeply for.

"Robert?" Rosa said, still standing right at her spot. He turned around with a neutral expression - not expecting what would come next.

Rosa took the few strides over to him, grabbed his face, and pulled Robert into a quick kiss on the lips. There. Rosa quickly began to worry. Was it wrong of her or too soon?

Robert's eyebrow's raised, and he flushed a bright red. He hadn't seen Rosa's bold move coming, but in all honestly, he was ashamed that he hadn't been the one to make the first move.

Therefore he not many seconds after, leaned back in and kissed her passionately, which also took Rosa by surprise. They didn't kiss for a long time, but enough to make them both feel head over heels.

On the way back home, they couldn't stop sneaking quick glances at each other, and quickly looking away, when the other one noticed them looking. It was all a blur - a happy bliss. From that moment on, they were both well aware of the fact, that there was no way back from here. His infatuation for her was undeniable, and Rosa's heart grew fonder and fonder of him from each second, that passed.

That night, Rosa looked at herself in the bathroom mirror. Something looked different, but she couldn't point a finger at what. She was glowing? Her cheeks had a tint, they never had before. Her eyes were glistening. Rosa finally felt content with herself - like Robert had found her confidence deep inside her soul just waiting for him to grab it.

Rosa was falling in love with Robert, hard and fast.
