Leah’s POV

I woke up to the sound of banging in the kitchen. I rubbed my eyes, opening them up to be blinded by sunlight. I immediately shut them and buried my face in my pillow. I heard a groan as my pillow began to shift, hugging me closer to it. Wait a minute. Why does my pillow have arms? I sat bolt upright seeing Liam lying next to me. I glanced at myself thankfully, fully clothed. I looked back to Liam who had a small smile on his lips.

“Lay back down, now I’m cold.” He mumbled, his deep voice seducing me into laying back into his arms. This felt so amazing. I’d been waiting for this for so long. “I really have missed you Lee.” He breathed in my ear, sending shivers down my spine. I turned to face him and smiled,

“I have too. I’m glad I’m here with you right now.”

“I am too. More than you know.” He grinned at me, reaching up and caressing my cheek. I felt it blush under his tender touch and I averted my gaze away from his. He pulled my face back to his and kissed my forehead. “You’re cute when you blush, you know that?” He chuckled. I blushed again, much more than I had just a minute ago.

“Hey Liam its– oh… umm,” Niall was standing in the doorway looking taken aback at the sight in front of him. I saw something pass over his face, but I couldn’t tell what it was as his gaze became stoic and unmoving. “Well we were going out to the lake if you cared to join us.” He said quietly and hurried out the door. Oh great now he was mad at me. I gave Liam’s hand a quick squeeze and rolled out from under him, quickly grabbing a change of clothes and heading for the shower. As the water hit my body, I shivered even though the heat was high. I hurriedly toweled off and slipped on a pair of denim capris and a big t-shirt and running out of the bathroom to find Niall. I needed to talk to him. I ignored Liam’s calls as a ran to the kitchen, finding the blonde haired boy in the refrigerator.

“Hey can we talk?” I asked, tapping him on the back. He must have been surprised to hear me as he crashed his head against on one of the fridge shelves, muttering curses as he turned to face me.

“We are talking.” He said, his expression passive as he rubbed his head.

“Well I meant about, um earlier?” I gazed at him expectantly.

“What is there to talk about? You and Liam obviously like each other more than just friends.” His voice was sad and he gazed at the floor.

“Well that’s the thing. I’m not sure if I’m ready for that with Liam… he’s made me wait too long to suddenly decide how he feels for me. I’ve liked him since we were kids and before I came here I told myself I was going to forget those feelings and try something new and stop being so attached to him. And you made that happen. You were so genuine yesterday and so sweet and I think I might like you too, more than just a friend.” I could feel tears pricking at the corners of my eyes. Why was I crying? Ugh because my head was so confused over these two boys, and it’s only been one day. “But I just don’t know. Ugh this is so confusing and to make it worse I’m creating a problem between you and Liam. I heard him screaming at you yesterday, I figured it was about me and I don’t want to do that to you guys but at the same time I really want to be maybe more than friends? I just don’t know.” I sniffed, burying my face in my hands. I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around my waist hugging me into him. I wiped my eyes and returned the hug, inhaling his intoxicating scent. He pulled away and brushed my hair out of my face, giving me a small smile.
