Bendy's POV:
It's almost like she's never heard good music in her ink life! Alice was on a borderline sugar high from listening to the eighties and nineties. Highlight of my day, I'm not gonna lie.
The ride from our workshop to the beach took about two hours, and I was happy spending it watching my angel listen to Bon Jovi for the first time. Living On A Prayer seems to be her favorite, unsurprising."And!~ We're here! Inks and daughter, welcome to the California coast!" Joey announced proudly.
Everyone looked out the window at the ocean, taking in its beauty and rolling waves. Alice was practically pressed against the window, which was adorable in all ways.
The second we parked on the beach, Alice had jumped out of the car to unpack. I chuckled, following without a care. The whole ordeal took a few minutes, considering that everyone's adrenaline was going off the marker, for some reason. Animator girl was quick to set up the tent, and it was surprisingly huge. How much did this thing cost? Holy hell.
Y/N started begging Joey for something, but I wasn't close enough to hear what. After a few seconds, she dashed for the water. Lucifer Morningstar, did she even change?Shrugging it off as a human excitement thing, I turned back to the car. Currently, the beach was totally vacant, so I grabbed the last item. Might as well use it.
I switched stations for a while, until I finally found one worth keeping on, and increased the volume."You're listening to American Top Forty on KKLC! The Eighties!"
Smiling, I waited for Angel cake to notice the radio. When she did, man, you should've seen her smile. Hey, I know the first time I met an angel, he tried to baptize me or something, but she could make all angels look beautiful.
I hugged her from behind before nuzzling her neck. That giggle could make the toughest man melt within a second, and the world must know it."You're the best!" She told me, holding onto my hand.
"Even though I tried to put on your dress?" I joked, giving her a cheesy grin.
"Even better." My angel laughed.Feeling satisfied, I kissed her cheek, and sat by the radio while holding her.
"Think we should try swimming later?" I asked.
"Not now, the sun's already setting. Isn't it lovely though?" She replied, sounding rather dreamy. We should take her out more.
"Not as lovely as you~" even I have to admit that was bad.
"Silly devil..." She suddenly yawned."Tired already?"
"I rise and fall with the sun, when I can."
I picked her up.
"Let's get you into bed- um.. Sleeping bag? Damn, maybe I need the sleep too."
She curled up against my chest, nodding slightly. The tent was a short walk away, since we only had to round the corner for the opening. I laid her down, then realized we could see the stars through the top. How much was this?!
While I pulled her closer to me, I felt her cling to my torso, forcing me to smile like an idiot."Goodnight Angel cake."
"Night Devil darling."Y'know, I almost forgot that we can dream...
"Daaaaaad! Keep up!!" A child called after me, pulling on my arm.
"Haha! Just like your mother, always an adventurer." I smiled down to the young boy.
"Yeah, all Skylar wants to do is bake! She never plays games with me!" He complained, continuing to pull drag along.
"Damon, she's still your sister. Maybe you should try to bake with her, you might like it."
The child stuck his tongue out, as if the idea of baking disgusted him beyond belief.
"You'll get free cake out of it."
"Deal!!"
That's my son alright.
We started slowing down, right by my angel.
"Momma! Momma! Look what I made!"
He said as we skid to a stop, holding a homemade card. It appeared to be made from construction paper, and colored pencil. My angel took it in her hands, smiling warmly.
"It's perfect, my dear." She kissed his forehead, and he looked like he won ten million dollars. It's something in the way children smile that's so pure, you can completely forget the world still spins.
A sweet scent suddenly hit my senses.
"I think Boris and Skylar are in the kitchen again." Alice commented. I looked at my son.
"Race you!" His wings fluttered.
"You're on, old man!"
"Jeez, you Are my kid." We laughed for some time.
"Okay. Three... Two... One... Bananarama!"
Unlike the previous times I've done this, he didn't bolt. Instead, he shot me a playful glare.
"Fine, fine. Three, two, one... One and a quarter... One and a half..."
"Daaaaad!"
"Alright! Go!"
For a six year old with short legs, he can really sprint.
"I'm gonna win it! I'm gonna win it!!" He repeated to himself, smiling widely.
"Yes you are!" I cheered him on.
Really though, he will. This little tot can be a handful when it comes to showers and bedtime. Now, I'm tired very easily.
When we arrived, Alice was already there, eating a rainbow cupcake.
"You boys are slow." She teased, but we knew that she took her passageways.
"Just gimme cake, I've earned it." Damon said, looking at his sister.
"What's the magic word Stallion?" Skylar replied, and her brother huffed.
"Please, my pony by ten seconds. Clippity cloppity."
She smiled brightly, handing him two.
"Thanks Pony."
"And what about me sweetie?" I laughed to myself. She seemed a bit bashful all of a sudden.
"I messed up a little on that one..." Her hands were behind her back.
"I'm sure it's great, let me see."
My girl slowly held her hand foward, revealing a slightly uneven frosted cupcake.
"Looks good to me." Her curly pigtails seemed to bounce as she grinned. What on earth kind of dream..?
Ooh I'm tired XD
