1989

After we left rehab we went to Canada for a year to work on a new album with producer Bob Rock. The guys weren't to happy about having to leave their families again so soon after just coming home but agreed that they wanted to make a kick ass album so they didn't stay mad at me for to long because we all agree that this is the best one we've ever done.

We're about to be on our way to Russia to do the Moscow Music Peace Festival Doc McGhee setup. It turns out while we were in rehab that Doc was being a very naughty boy. He got busted for smuggling forty thousand pounds of pot from Colombia into North Carolina and got slapped with a fifteen-thousand-dollar fine and a five year suspended prison sentence. As a way of making up for it he set up an anti-drug organization, The Make A Difference Foundation. So now we're doing this show with Ozzy, The Scorpions, and of course Bon Jovi. This is the first show we've done since we left rehab and we made a pact as a band that we were going to stay sober and take our music to the top as the big comeback. Our new album Dr. Feelgood was coming out in a few weeks, so this was gonna be a good warm-up show as a way to kick off the upcoming tour.

Just before we got on the plane Doc called a meeting with all the bands
"Okay, guys, here's how this is gonna work. Everyone's going to be equal there are to be no headliners and everyone's to play a strip down  fifty-minute show with no props or special effects. The running order will be this Scorpions, Ozzy, Motley Crue, and then Bon Jovi. Everyone got that?" Doc asked. We all nodded "Good. Let's go load up."

When we got on the plane we noticed that this was not what we were told it would be. There was a so-called Doctor on board supplying the bands who weren't sober with whatever medicine they needed. Needless to say, this whole thing was going to be a festival of hypocrisy and we were on a daylong plane ride of absolute HELL.

When we got to the gig, it was clear that this was one big shit storm. Turns out Doc told each of the bands something different in order for them to do the show and to make matters worse the production manager told us we had just been demoted. We were going on before The Scorpions and Ozzy. Were we mad? You damn straight we were.

"DOC! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?" Tommy screamed.

"Guys, look, let me explain," Doc said.

"EXPLAIN!! EXPLAIN WHAT? HOW YOU KEEP SCREWING US OVER AND OVER AGAIN?"

"Look, it's not like that. If you would just hear me out."

"No, you hear us out. We didn't fly all the way to Russia just so we could be one of the opening acts for Bon Jovi who, we just found out, gets to do an hour and a half show while the rest of us only get fifty minutes. Now you wanna explain to us how any of that is fair?" I asked.

"Okay, I get it, you're pissed."

"No, we're more than pissed, we're done. We're going home." Tommy said.

"WHAT!?!?!? You can't do that. You can't leave." Doc said.

"Oh, yeah? Watch us. This is nothing but a joke anyway." I said walking away.

We told Vince and Mick about what happened and were about to get back on the plane to go home when Doc showed up and after a lot, and I do mean a lot of begging from Docs end, we finally agreed to stay and do the shows. We played a pretty decent show and it felt good to play the new songs like Dr. Feelgood and Same Ol' Situation for the first time and see the audience react to them. Finally, after Ozzy and The Scorpions performed, it was Bon Jovi's turn to take the stage and let's just say, after we saw the things they were allowed to do, we were LIVID. We were told no pyrotechnics, flash bombs, explosions, fireworks, none of that but there they were doing everything we were told we couldn't do. Needless to say, everyone was pissed.

Tommy and I took off backstage looking for Doc and as soon as we found him Tommy walked right up and punched him in the face knocking him to the ground. "You lied to us again, Doc. You're fired." I told him.

As we were walking off Doc starting yelling at us "You can't fire me. I'm the one who made you famous and if you get rid of me I'll make sure your new album NEVER gets sold anywhere. I'll ruin your career and I'll ruin your lives."

I stopped right where I was "What did you just say?" I asked, turning around.

"You heard me you little bastard. I've got friends who can make your life a living Hell with just one phone call if you cross me. I own you and you're not done till I say so."

That was all I needed to hear because before I knew it I grabbed Doc off the ground and slammed him into some metal doors leaving a huge dent. I bore my fangs and growled at him. "NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!! IF YOU EVER THREATEN US AGAIN NO ONE, NOT EVEN YOUR FRIENDS, WILL BE ABLE TO SAVE YOU FROM WHAT I'LL DO!!!! BY THE TIME I'M DONE YOU'LL BE LUCKY IF THEY CAN EVEN IDENTIFY YOU FROM YOUR DENTAL RECORDS!!!!! DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

"WHAT?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU?" Doc asked, pissing his pants.

"YOU CAN CALL ME THE BOOGIE MAN, BECAUSE I'M YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE, DOC!!!!" I said.

"NIKKI!!!" Tommy yelled bringing me out of my rage. "Nikki listened to me, man, put him down. Put him down Sixx before someone else sees this."

I put him down and looked at Tommy "Oh, God. T-Bone, what just happened?" I asked him.

"You almost ripped Doc's throat out, man." He said.

"What are we gonna do? He knows about me now. What if he tells someone about this, what's gonna happen to me?"

"Don't worry, no one's going to believe him, not after I'm done with him," Tommy said. He walked over and knocked Doc out then he grabbed a bottle of Jack Daniels and poured it all over him "There, now if he tries to expose you it'll just look like a drunken rant no one will believe."

The next day we left after the show to go home. On the plane ride, I kept thinking about what happened when Tommy came over and sat beside me.

"You okay, Dude?"

"No, I'm not. I don't know what came over me. If you hadn't been there T-Bone, who knows what I would've done."

"Hey, don't think like that, okay."

"How can I not, you said so yourself I almost ripped his throat out. And the worst part is I wanted to."

"Sixx, listen to me, it didn't happen. Get it out of your mind. No one is going to believe him, you're safe Dude. We'll never have to deal with him again. Now come on we gotta start getting ready for the release of our new album and tour coming up. Dude, how pumped are you for it, I can't wait this is gonna be our best one yet."

"Yeah, you're right, it is," I said trying to get it out of my mind, but something told me that it wasn't the end of it like Tommy said. Something told me it was just the beginning.

(A/N: Hey guys, thanks for reading. Don't forget to vote. On a side note, I don't have anything against Bon Jovi I like Bon Jovi but I'm trying to have this be from Nikki's POV so that's where the stuff comes from. I got a good majority of this chapter from The Dirt book but I did change it up a bit. For example, Doc never threatens them after they fired him I added that part so Nikki's vampire could kind of come out. But anyway thanks again for reading. Bye ❤😘)
