The cats decided to leave at sunrise. The sky was cloudy as they set off again. "It's going to start raining soon," StreamPaw mews from the back of the group. "I can feel it," she adds. The others nod. "An abandoned twoleg nest is coming up, we can rest there," CloudPaw suggests. "Are you sure?" OrangePaw asks nervously, the jitterish young tom flicks his tail. "We'll see when we get there," CloudPaw answers and they begin the journey once again. MintPaw couldn't stop thinking about the words from StarClan. She shakes her head to get rid of the thought, but it nags her. She looks ahead, oddly PatchPaw and BlackPaw weren't talking to each other. Actually they weren't even near each other, BlackPaw all the way in the back and PatchPaw in the front. How odd. Everyone knew they were into each other. She dismisses the thought and picks up her pace to catch up with the others.

They arrived at the twoleg nest. "I'll go see if it's empty," RuffledPaw mews. "Me too," WillowPaw says and follows the spiky grey tom. When they return they report the nest is empty and the door was open. "Good let's go in," CloudPaw mews. Rain had started drizzling and the sky darkens. The apprentices file into the abandoned twoleg nest. The air was musky and filled with dust. The cats stood still and looked at the walls around them. A large couch sits in the corner. MintPaw makes her way towards the couch. She jumps onto it and dust flies into the air. "A little dusty, but it's comfortable," she mews and settles down to lick her long fur. The others jump up onto the couch with her, until they all sit on the couch. They still had plenty of room. "Let's rest until the rain stops," IvyPaw suggests. The cats nod their approvals and settle down for a long rest.

Lightning lights up the twoleg nest. Rain drops thud against the roof. The cats lay wide eyed, huddled against each other. RuffledPaw's stomach grumbles. Everyone was hungry. They hasn't eaten since yesterday night. "It sounds like the rain is letting up," StreamPaw shouts over the roaring thunder. She was right, soon the rain slowed to a drizzle and IvyPaw stuck her head out of the door. "It's barely raining now. We should go hunting," she mews looking back at the others. "Yeah, I'm hungry," RuffledPaw complains and jumps down. "OrangePaw, RuffledPaw, WillowPaw, and IvyPaw can go hunting together near the forest," CloudPaw instructs, "Me, PatchPaw, and MintPaw will hunt around the field." BlackPaw perks her ears, only her and StreamPaw were left. "Me and StreamPaw will hunt in here. Mice might be roaming around," BlackPaw mews sternly and walks away. StreamPaw bounds after the small black she cat. Before CloudPaw leaves, he smells something odd, he stops for a second but the scent disappears. He looks around confused, he hears MintPaw call for him and bounds after them.
