Lillian's POV

I woke up to birds chirping happily. What could they be so happy about!? I mean sure they might be happy that they have another day alive, but what I mean is why are they so happy at three in the god damn morning!?

I got up since there was probably 100% I wasnt gonna be able to go back to sleep. Stupid birds! If you're wondering why I'm so grumpy,  it's because I am definitely not a morning person and I only slept for three hours. I had decided that since I was awake I should just change into regular clothes instead of my night gown. I changed into a dark blue gown that looked like it was sleeveless and had a long sleeve underneath. The sleeves were black. I wore a pair of dark blue flats and black elbow length gloves.

When I finished I got bored and headed to the music room. I went to the piano and started playing Sonet by Ludwig Van Beethoven. It was my favourite piece that he ever created. When I was done, I headed back to my room to listen to my favourite song Once Upon A December. When it finished I started to get a vision of something.

There was a man walking up to me. He was very tall, he had red eyes, raven black hair, but I couldnt really see his face because he was wearing a white mask. He extended his hand out to me. As he did that I flinched at his actions. " Welcome M'lady......" and thats where the vision ended. I looked at my grandfather clock. It read 10:49am. The vision lasted a long time for a short vision.

I heard foot steps coming over to my room. Before I knew it, my mother burst through.

"Cecielia!" my mother said.

"It's Lillian!" I told her. I hated being called Cecielia. I dont really know why but I just did.

"Whatever. Be ready by seven, you, your brother, and your sisters are going to a ball at the Phantomhive Manor." she told me. I have nothing against Earl Phantomhive, but to be honest I didnt really want to see him. Every time he came to the castle and I would accidentally run into him, I would get this weird feeling. And no its not love. I have never felt love before and I'm pretty sure I dont now. And if I did go he would probably not even talk to me. He only talks to my mother and sisters.

I told my mother ok and she left. I followed after her after grabbing a hair tie of course, just in case I start to sweat. I left my room and headed to the dining room to eat breakfast. When I arrived there, my butler Jefferson, guided me to my seat. In the dining room we all had our own seats. I used to sit next to my sister Victoria,  but now I sit in my fathers seat since he's dead and well mother said I could have it if I wanted.

"For breakfast today, you will be having scones and oatmeal with blueberries." Jefferson told me. I just nodded. "Why don't you ever smile M'lady? You should smile more often. Im sure you have a beautiful smile." Jefferson asked. He ask every day and every day I give him the same answer.

"I don't smile because I find no reason for smiling." I tell him. And it's true. I find no reason for me to smile so I don't.

As I start to eat, my brother Aurther walks in and sits in his seat next to me.

"He's right Lilli, you should smile more. To be honest, you have never smiled your entire life." he said

"Well I just don't smile because there is nothing for me to smile for." I say. I continue eating my oatmeal and my scone. "Jefferson, can you please get me some Earl Gray tea please?" I ask politely.

"Yes M'lady." he says and heads to the kitchen. Jefferson and Aurther are the only ones who show me kindness. Sure my mother does too, but it's really rare when it happenes. Jefferson came back and gave me my tea. Earl Gray tea is my favourite tea. I've always liked it since I was very little.
