Why us?

Self Harm

  Venus has been getting sick lately and it's starting to worry me. She did stop running off without me though, and for once I feel like everything is better then normal. Jack was with us today along with Jill a ways back sitting in a lawn chair, we were riding the boats in the backyard, it goes out to a huge lake.

  "So have you guys ever fished before?" Jack says as he positions his fishing rod to the back of the boat, "Not really I must say" I reply as Venus shakes her head in agreement. Jack spends the next hour teaching us different methods of fishing and the best way to catch certain fish. Me and Venus both are very attentive the whole time and I think jack admired that. I had my fishing rod over the right side of the boat when I felt a tug after only about 3 minutes, "Reel it in Mars!" Venus yells as jack turns to watch the commotion.

I start to reel it in as fast as possible and my palm is getting hot. All of a sudden my vision gets blurry and it's not a fish that a reel into the boat but a dead carcass of a dog, I gag in disgust and almost throw up before my vision is again back to normal and it's a normal medium sized trout.

  I think that this is starting to get out of hand... The rest of the day I just chill inside the house and watch a few birds outside the window. Venus notices that I'm kind of isolating myself from everyone so eventually she comes over to me and suggests we go out on a trip again. "Let's go into the city today yeah?" She says. "No I don't feel like it" I reply.
"The cliff?"
After some thought I decided that going out to the cliff again would be good for me and decided to go.

  We headed out after a while, I noticed how Venus was trying to get out of the door as soon as possible. We got outside and into the car, off we went and onto the main road. Why was she going on this one? "It'll take longer on this road" I say, "I feel safer with traffic" she says and hits the gas.

  After a while of driving in silence, Venus' hands being noticeably sweaty, I heard sirens and saw lights in the rear view mirror.

  I knew immediately what she had done...
