Problem in Paradice

As we were leaving pizza heaven I still felt like someone was watching me. I found it creepy and I did not like it. But I looked around and saw both Sam and Maddy holding hands with Dan’s friends, I was happy for them. I think.

I had a shift right after school on Tuesday to I ran to catch the right bus. I got on it just before it left the bus stop. When I arrived Dan was already serving a customer but he look perfect and the early feeling had gone from him now. Dan smiled at me and all my curiosity flowed away but a little voice in my head said to be careful. Then it hit me, no not an idea but a ladder that Alice had been up on and had gotten down of and put a large pile of boxes up against it and the over balanced the ladder and it came crashing down on me. I was out cold by the time the ladder and I hit the floor but before I fell I saw what looked like susie pulling the ladder down. I woke up in a hospital bed with my head banged tightly and by left arm in a cast. I was drowsy from the medication. But I could make out six people seated around me.

Sam, Maddy, mum, Dad, my sister Anna, and Dan. As soon as I was able to see them properly I said "hey guys". Dan as soon as I spoke jumped up and hugged me. Then so did Sam and Maddy, the stayed for a bit and then had to go and mum and dad went to get a bite to eat. Dan sat down on the bed next to me and kissed me gently on the check and I blushed pink all over. I asked Dan what had happened and he said that he turned his back to get something for a customer and he heard a loud crashing sound and turned around and I was on the ground with the ladder on top of me. I then told him what I could remember of the accident. I told him that I had come in and saw him serving someone and he looked over at me and smiled and then I smiled back and he continued to serve the customer then I heard a creaking sound like something was going to fall and then the ladder collapsed on me and before it fell I looked up at him and I was someone who looked like susie pulling the ladder down. After I finished Dan did not say a word only a very quiet "well I got to go" then he got up and left. This confused me even more so I just layed back and let myself drift off to sleep again.
