[Lucian]

I could hear the sound of footsteps shuffling right outside the tent. My eyes were too heavy to even open by themselves. I tried to sink back into the good feeling of sleep, before I could see the bits of sunlight pouring into the tent.

My eyes were squinting as I sat up, blocking the rays of light with my hand. Reynold squirmed in his spot, groaning as he flipped over to the other side.

I had a really nice sleep. Well, it was thanks to Reynold's sleeping bag. But I know for sure Reynold didn't get a good night's rest...

He finally sat upright, rubbing his eyes. I noticed his messy bed hair sticking out, being all over the place. It was oddly cute to see how he looked when he woke up in the morning.

I, however, wake up looking like a troll. I always look horrible in the morning and I've hated that so much.

"Morning, Lucian.." He slurred, clearly still tired.

"Good morning, Reynold." I smiled at him as I stepped out of the tent.

I stretched my body, feeling the wind gently blowing as it carried the fallen leaves in the air. The scent of the lake that was nearby filled the air. Students were busy packing away their sleeping bags and tents.

Reynold sluggishly stepped out of the tent, his eyes still half open.

"Reynold, let's–"

Before I could even finish my sentence, I felt a heavy weight right on the crown of my head. Reynold was resting his chin on my head.

My heart twisted slightly. I am mainly the reason why he was so tired. He couldn't even get a good night's rest. The camp grounds were rocks and dirt. Definitely not a comfortable surface for our bodies to sleep on.

"Reynold, we need to take the tent down and all that!"

"I know.. But I'm so fucking tired.. My back hurts.." His words were just a jumble of mess.

I turned around to look at him, feeling the heaviness on my head going away as Reynold looked at me.

I didn't really know how to make up for the fact that I used his sleeping bag, and that I am the reason his back hurts.. But I knew I had to make up for it somehow.

"I.. Uhm.. I'm really sorry.. I had to use your sleeping bag because I forgot mine.."

He ruffled my hair, his hand still warm despite how cold the morning was. He smiled at me, albeit weakly.

From behind, I could hear someone running towards us. I whipped my head around to see Bolt jogging right at us. He had a wide smile on his face as he waved at us.

"Lucian! Ronald!" He yelled out, to which Reynold grimaced at what Bolt called him, "Let me help! We have to assemble in five minutes and you guys are the only ones with their tents still pitched!"

I looked around to see absolutely no more tents around us. I felt my cheeks flushing in embarrassment, not realising how everyone had already left the camping grounds.

Reynold and Bolt were working fast on the tent as I rolled up Reynold's sleeping bag and putting it back into its pouch.

It was quite funny to see the difference in aura the two of them gave off. Bolt never failed to keep a smile on his face, his eyes creasing along with his wide smile. Reynold, however, was scowling as usual with the menacing aura he exuded.
