The Night I Saw Her

I hate waking up to the sun being in my face. My dad always opens the curtains before he leaves for work to make sure I don't waste my time in bed all day. I usually get up and close them again and continue on. I don't want to be outside so why would I open my curtains to see what I don't care about. I am getting hungry though so I decided that I should at least eat for today. I walked into our kitchen and I looked on the table and noticed that my dad left a note.

"Elias we are out of food please be sure to go to the store for us. I can't have you starving or bringing me down with you too. I left money near the door under a list. We don't need much."

Man I don't want to go to the store...I hate that he makes me go. I suppose he's not wrong. I ended up going back to my bed and taking a nap when I realized it was getting late so I grabbed the money and list and headed out.

I hate being out here. Nothing good has ever came from being outside. I got lost in my head on my way to the store I didn't even realize I made it. "Man I gotta be careful with that." I said to myself while walking inside the store. I bought all the items my dad requested on the list and I got me some snacks. What he doesn't know won't kill him. I walked out and heading back home when I noticed a bunch of noise coming from the distance. This isn't a big town so people are usually nice and tend to not be troublemakers here so naturally I wasn't scared that it might be a person. I was scared that it might not be.

I walked towards the sound which looks like it was coming from these bushes near the road. I slowly approached the bushes and realized "WHAT AM I DOING!?" I thought out loud to myself. I immediately turned and walked away from the sounds. I would not let whatever that was get me. I then heard the noise stop and then I started to really get freaked out. "Okay who's there? I'm not playing around!" I said loudly as I looked back at the area where the bushes were. I shrugged it off and I turned back and just as fast as I did that I saw this black mass come towards me quickly. I freaked and accidentally tripped over my own feet and landed on my back. "I'm dead..this is how it ends." I thought to myself as I got my face licked. "Hey HEY!" I said as I moved the dog away from my face. "Well now so YOU were the one who made all that noise in the bushes." I said as I put the dog down beside me and then just as I would get up I saw this hand in front of me. "I AM SO SORRY! Let me help you up." The woman said as I stared at her beautiful face. "Is everything okay? Do I have something on my face?" She said with her hand still extended. "Uh..uhh NO! No..you don't. I..uh.. thanks." I said accepting her hand and getting up. Who is this person? An angel? I've never seen her before. "I see you met Leo." She said letting out a slight giggle. "Who?" I said looking confused. She then pointed at her dog and I felt dumb. "OH Yes! I..I did!" I said trying to appear if I was acting like I knew what she meant this whole time. "Well it was a pleasure meeting you! I have to go back now!" She said as she picked her dog up and ran off down the street. I waved trying to comprehend what just happened and who that beautiful girl was. I definitely want to....no I have to meet her again.
