I had a dream.

I had a dream,
Where my wings spread and I flew
And there next to me
Was you

I had a dream,
Where the sky was forever blue
A symphony of birds
"Coo, coo, coo"

I had a dream,
Where we bathed in gold
To hope for a day when,
Our little home didn't have to be sold

I had a dream,
That you were here
Us, forever together
Forever near

I had a dream,
Where the sky was grey
No sun
Not a ray

I had a dream,
In the distance you stood
So far away
If I could wish you here, I would.

I had a dream,
You were gone
I was running, running
Where had you run?!

I had a dream,
Where I could cope
You weren't coming back
You slid down death's slope

I had a dream,
Darkness loomed over us, black
With tears in my eyes, I waved you goodbye
For I knew, this time, you wouldn't come back.

I had a dream,
Where my wings spread and I flew
But someone was next to me
And yet, it was not you

I had a dream,
That I found someone knew
And like a hill,
I, finally, got over you.
