Procrastination

"Afterwards,
I'll get the work done.
I think as I watch the show
Yet, I'm there till the dawn's sun

"Afterwards,
I'll find something to eat.
But this book
It's much more sweet

"Afterwards,
I'll help with your homework."
Just gimme a sec
This character just went berserk!

"Afterwards,
I'll feed my son.
But I can't be bothered
That's no fun

"Afterwards,
I'll stop my baby's screams.
But this game
It comes above his needs.

"Afterwards,
I'll unlock the door
But this book,
It needs me much more

"Afterwards,
I'll check out that smell
But this comic,
It's really swell!

"Afterwards,
I'll answer the neighbours call
But in comparison to this drawing,
They just seem so small!"

My blood ran cold
As I read the diary of my wife
While she neglected my children
I was on the holiday of my life

I really need to take this to the police
But that can wait until afterward
After I sate my desire
To move that chess piece forward...
