Celeste
What does she mean?
What does this mean?
Is this the golden ticket or the end of it all?
My mind is racing with thoughts and non of them are positive
I think this is it
I knew i won't last for long here, but never imagined leaving this early by getting firedGuess my poor job on the articles and lack of enthusiasm and interest in writing them was pretty obvious to mister Sandler.
I should've written them with love and passion, if I did that, I wouldn't be moving back with my mother in the next couple weeks
Guess writing articles wasn't so bad after all
It payed my rent and kept me a bit busy
I took it for granted
I'm such a whiny bitch
I deserve this
This is what I planted
And now I'm following Dakota's steps into the other side of the building to harvest my produce. We're in the directorial wing, where mister Sandler's office is set alongside with all the other elite important employees here
The huge, glass walls, expensive meeting rooms are here too
They use them for meetings with VIPs
This company gets constant visits from important business people, and Sandler likes to pamper them.
Dakota and I are walking in complete silence
All I can hear is the sound of her heels, I can't seem to hear the sound of mine, my sandals are pretty expensive, why the fuck am I not hearing my heels?
And suddenly an image I never thought I'd see again is painted:
My eyes sight PAs everywhere, rich expensive vending machines, glass doors everywhere, nice paintings and perfectly coiffed men
Yes I'm in the main wing
I haven't been here since the day i was employed.
Finally, I can glance Sandler's office at the end of the hallway.
These are my last minutes as an employed woman, it was wild, I made my own money for a while, i was completely independent, it really felt good, it truly did.
Now that I can see my destination, I pick up Dakota's walking pace, and as I do she takes a turn to the left and bumps hardly into me.
Is this the accident I feared this morning?
"Oh, sorry dear!"
Dakota immediately apologizes as she's grabbing on my shoulders
"It's alright, I'm sorry I was going too fast"
I apologize back
"I'm aiming for Sandler's office, I was literally going all out for it."
I explain
"Oh you did? But we're not going there, we need to take a left here, follow my lead dear I was asked to get you to meeting room 24, not his office, this way Celeste"
