The following morning
In the courtyard, a large group of students gather around the vandalized Ollie the Tiger statue. Billy looks around to hear whispers about the previous day's run-in with Hearst.
Ezra: Caleb was telling me someone from our school did it.
Payton: That's what I heard, too!
Billy: I can't believe this.
Michael: Well, whoever spray painted him is gonna pay.
Before Billy can respond, Michael storms off. Billy then notices Luis and Myra, who is looking down in a trashcan and approaches them.
Luis: Poor Ollie....and a Berry Student? I don't get it.
Myra: I bet whoever did it must feel terrible. I'd hate to be in that person's shoes right now....to have to keep a secret like that.
Luis: I hope they come forward soon.
Billy: Yeah, it'd probably be for the best.
Billy notices Myra with a saddened look.
Billy: Myra...you look a little down....Are you sure you're-
Suddenly, Isa appears.
Isa: Why are you all standing here? Don't you all have class to attend?
Billy and the students around him scramble to class just as the school bell rings.
Later in the day, after second period
Billy is putting some books in his locker.
Maria: Billy! Is it true?!
Billy shuts his locker to see Maria bolting down the hall with her eyes fixed on him.
Billy: Is what true?
Maria: I heard Hearst didn't vandalize Ollie......That it was a Berry student.
Billy: If you believe the Hearst students, then yeah.
Maria: I'm going to get to the bottom of this....and you're coming with me!
Billy: Okay, but why me?
Maria: I need your help. You were there when the Hearst students showed up and honestly, you're the only person I can trust right now. Whoever did it is probably sitting right under our noses.
Billy: Well, when you put it that way.....what the hell? I'm in.
Maria: Now, before we get started, I was thinking, do we want anyone to help us?
Billy: Who did you have in mind?
Maria: Well, Emma and Aiden both strike me as especially perceptive. Caleb would also be a good pick because he knows everyone....and as much as I hate to trust him with anything, Michael's clearly dedicated to the cause.
Billy: Yeah, you should've saw how pissed Michael was when he saw the statue.
Maria: Anyway, I think anyone of them could help catch our culprit!
