Chapter Two

Dakota POV

I jolted up again and I looked at my phone. Surprisingly my phone didn't go off. I was right on time and I got up.

I sighed and changed quickly. My head was throbbing and I went to the restroom and took a pill for my headache.

I reached downstairs and saw a note on the refrigerator. I looked at it and it was from my mother. I got a text from my phone.

I looked at it and it was from Brittany. She texted me that she wanted to pick me with the girls.

I texted her back and she texted with an okay sign. I was looking for breakfast and decided to make cereal.

I went back to the restroom and brushed my teeth. As I was done I heard a honk. I got everything and went outside.

I saw Mackenzie and she said "Get in loser". (Get it the reference) I got inside and greeted the girls. Brittany said "So Dakota how was your first day".

I said "It was okay but I'm glad that I didn't get hurt". Brittany and Trisha looked at me weirdly. I continued "Just kidding guys".

I chuckled it off and they continued to talk about something. I heard Trisha talk about some girl called Shay.

I put on my headphones and didn't really listen. As we finally got to school and I walked by side them. Brittany got close to me and said "I know you weren't joking listen Dakota I like you as a friend but you can tell me anything since the big kids are gone".

I chuckled at her and said "Thanks Britt but I wasn't joking theirs a reason we moved but I don't want to get into it".

She said "It's okay Dakota you can tell me whenever you are ready". I nodded at her but I noticed she was holding my wrist and I looked away.

Until I saw a girl with dirty blonde hair and she was cussing Mackenzie. We walked towards them and the girl said "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK ZALES".

Brittany was cussing the girl. I saw Trisha talking to deandera and I walked towards them. I said "Hey guys". Deandera said "What's up humming girl". I said "My name is Dakota".

Trisha said "Hey Dakota". Until I felt someone grabbing me and I saw Mackenzie grabbing my wrist.

I said "Mack where are we going". She said "Class". I waved goodbye to others. They waved back.

Until we reached the bathroom and she punched the wall. She was cursing Shay's name. I couldn't do anything about it but watch.

I grabbed her back and soothe it. She slapped it away and her features soften. I said "Sorry I was trying to help".

She said "It's fine but sorry for slapping your hand away". I said "Hey it's okay you were pissed off of that girl by the way who is she".

She sighed and said "She's Shay Van Buren but she's my enemy". I looked at her and I said "Oh well I don't know how to say anything but at least you have friends and maybe she doesn't or I don't know".

I was scratching the back of my neck. She looked at me and honestly I heard "Your cute when you rumble". I blushed but I said "Anyways let's head to class".

We left the restroom and went to class. As we got their and the teacher got mad at us but we didn't care.

As class ended and I was walking with Mack and she said "Thank you for helping me out a little bit". I smiled at her and said "Your welcome Mack".

Until I bumped into someone and I looked at the person and it was Shay. She looked at me with disgust and I had a flashback with the bullying.

She said "WHAT THE HELL". I looked at her and I said "Sorry I wasn't looking where I was going".

She said "Well good BUT YOUR FUCKING BLIND". Mackenzie was about to say something but I stood up tall. I said "Well for your information I'm not blind BUT I FUCKING APOLOGIZED TO YOU".

Mackenzie POV

I was about to cuss Shay but Dakota stopped me. Dakota cussed Shay but I'm not going to lie Dakota looked hot wait what. I'm not gay.

Dakota POV

Shay ran somewhere else and Mackenzie said "Dang I can't believe you did that". I said "I'll be glad to do it again".

She said "Well let's head to my locker since I texted the girls to meet us their". I said "Sure". I followed her and I kept blanking out.

Until we reached their and I saw Brittany talking to Trisha. Trisha said "Hey Dakota how are you doing". I said "I'm fine but I cussed Shay out".

Brittany said "Hell yeah but what DID SHE DO TO YOU". I said "It's my fault for bumping into her but I did apologize". Mackenzie said "Guys you should've seen Dakota but Shay went running".

They laughed and I did the same. As they were talking and I saw Matthew and I waved at him and he waved back.

He walked towards us and Matthew kissed Trisha. I guess they are dating and he said "Hey Dakota". I said "Hey Matthew so how are you". He said "Good so are you going to see the football game on Saturday".

I said "Sorry Matthew can't come". Brittany said "Why not". I said "Because I'm meeting an old friend and we're going to hangout".

I swear I saw jealousy in Brittany and Mackenzie eyes. I continued "But maybe I'll come with her to your game". He was smiling and nodded and told his girlfriend goodbye and he left.

I said "Alright guys I have to leave but I'll see you in lunch". I told them goodbye and I went to my class.

I sighed and I felt that my day is going be a long day.

—4 hours later—

I texted the girls and I went to get my lunch and talked to the lunch lady. As I got my food and I saw Shay walking up to me.

She said "Listen new girl I need your help since I need person on the inside to take down the cheerleaders". I was shocked and I said "Um no why would I do that". She said "Really I can give you popular statues".

I said "No I won't take that". I went walk towards the girls and I sat down with healthy food. Mackenzie said "Why we're you talking to Shay". I said "She offered me to be popular and take you girls down but I declined her offer".

They looked shocked and Brittany said "I'm actually proud of you Dakota but I'm going to take that BITCH down".

She was about to get up and I said "Please don't plus I can kick her ass". We talked and laughed.

—One hour later—

As class ended and I went home with the girls well they dropped me off. As I went inside and I made food and ate by myself. I quickly changed into my pjs and slept.
