Fire & Grace (A Ruel fanfic)

Today is the day I travel to Manila. I'm from Byron Bay but I have to fly to Sydney to fly to Manila.My closest airport is Ballina and they don't fly to the Philippines. I'm flying with my mum to Manila and some other Asian countries. We drive to Ballina airport and fly to Sydney.

Yay, I'm in Sydney. I love it here but I'm not leaving the airport so that sucks. Sorry I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Tayla and I'm 16 years old.
Oh no, our plane leaves soon, we better go. We have already checked our luggage in and we are going to the gate. We get there just in time. They told us when we get there that they had to put us in different seats.
"Honey are you going to be ok?" My mum asked.
"Yes Mum, I'll be fine. Love you," I said
"Ok, see you when we arrive. Love you too,"
I walk with the air hostess to where my new seat is. Yay, I got the window seat. There is someone sitting on the seat next to it and they have really long legs.
"Excuse me, May I get through?" I say politely
"Yeah sure sorry," the guy says
"Thanks," I say with a smile
I sit down and put down my bag. The guy next to me keeps on looking at me. I show him a little smile and look at him with the corner of my eye. He smiled back and said
"Hi, I'm Ruel,"
"Hi, I'm Tayla. Nice to meet you,"
"So Tayla, why are you going to Manila?
"My mum and I have always wanted to go, and we thought we should go soon so yeah. What about you?"
"School camp,"
"That's awesome, I wish my school did that. Like go on camps to different countries,"
"Yeah, it is pretty cool,"
We talk for a good hour or two getting to know each other. He is actually such a nice guy.
"I might just watch a movie for a bit, if that's ok?"
"Yeah, that's fine Ruel. I'm probably going to as well,"
I find a movie I want to watch which is 10 Things I Hate About You. I look over and see that Ruel is watching Iron Man.

2 hours later

I tap Ruel the shoulder and he flinches.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you,"
"It's ok,"
"So how was your movie,"
"Amazing, I love iron man. He is my favourite superhero,"
"That's good. My favourite is probably Spider-Man or maybe even Captain Marvel,"
"I love Captain Marvel,"
"Yeah,"
We spend the rest of the flight chatting, listening to music and playing some games. We exchanged numbers. I know I don't know him that well but I'll like to get to know him.

"Hello passengers, welcome to sunny Manila. The current temperature is 26°. I hope you enjoy your stay or if your coming home welcome home,"
