Today Jay gets released! I should do something special for him! Maybe a little welcome home party... Yeah! Then I can invite all of our friends! I begin to smile as I imagine the look on Jay's suprised face.
Group chat including: Zack, me, Zoe, Mira, Crystal, Vasco, and Jace.
Me: Hey guys... Any if you guys want to throw a welcome home party for Jay?
Mira: Sure. Zack and I will both be there. RIGHT ZACK?
Zoe: Yes!
Crystal: Only if Zoe goes...
Jace: Yeah. Vasco and I will go.
Zack: Ugh! Fine!
Me: Thanks a lot guys! He gets out at 5:00 PM. So, let's meet up at... 1:00. I need to buy the party stuff.
I turn off my phone and put it in my pocket. I then walk to a Party City nearby. I get a banner and some paint to write WELCOME BACK! I also get party hats, confetti guns, and balloons. "That'll be $50." The employee says. I grab my wallet and pull out two 20s and one 10. "Thank you come again." The employee says, with little to no enthusiasm. I then go to a bakery. "Hi, what would you like?" A woman asks. "Umm... Do you guys custom make cakes?" I ask. "Why yes! What image would you like to paint on the cake?" She asks, with a kind, gentle voice. I pull out my wallet and pull out the picture. "This one:"

"Ok! That'll be ready at about... 3:30! Is that ok?" She asks with a smile on her face. "Yeah! Thank you!" I reply. "Ok. That'll be $40." She states. I pull out two 20s. "Thank you. Please some again." She says, still smiling. I smile back and head out.
I pull out my phone to check the time. 12:50... I quickly run to Jay's apartment I once again check my phone. 12:57... I then see Zack and Mira walking over. I wave at them. They quickly run up the stairs. "The cake'll be ready at 3:30. I'll text Jay saying I can't meet up with him today..." I state. "Ok! So I'm guessing the others should arrive soon." Mira states. I nod. "So... How do we get in?" Zack asks. I point to the upstairs window? "He always keeps it open. Could young give me a boost, Zack?" I ask, smiling. Zack groans in annoyance, but complies. I get on his shoulder and climb into Jay's bedroom window. I then quickly run downstairs and unlock the doors for the others. To my suprise, I see that the whole gang is here. "So... Who dies what?" Zoe asks as she clutches Crystal's arm. "Ummm... So... Crystal and Zoe can paint on the banner, Mira and Zack can put air into the balloons. I'll bring Enu+her pups and bring the cake, and Vasco and Jace can arrange the furniture so that we can hide, but don't make to look to suspicious. Also, Mira and Zack, can you guys set up some plates?" I ask. "Sure." Mira says smiling. "I like parties." Vasco states. "We should get him a toy!" Vasco exclaims. "No! It's not his birthday, Vasco." Jace states. "Wait... How do you know? Jay has never told me when his birthday is..." I state. "Wait for real? You two are dating! How could you not know?" Zack asks. "I- I just guessed that it wasn't... You should a- ask him..." Jace stutters. "Ok, let's worry about that later. Let me text Jay real quick. "
Me: Hey Jay, I can't meet up. My mom is really sick, so I have to take care of her😕. I'll make it up to you, though.😀
Jay: Oh... Ok. Go ahead... Better be good😁.
"Ew." Zack complains. "I regret reading that." He states. "I didn't mean it like that! I meant like dinner or something!" I shout in embarrassment. "No need to be embarrassed. For example, Zoe and I are both super cool with it." Crystal explains. I start to blush. "I'm going to pick up Enu now!" I shout, my face flushed. I run out the door and down the stairs.
I then walk to my house. I had to keep Enu and the pups with me, since Jay was gone. I grabbed all their leashes and hooked it onto each of their collars. I yet again, checked the time. 3:20... I lock my door and run to the bakery, taking a few potty breaks for the pups and Enu. I then arrive at exactly 3:30. I open the door. "Um... Hi. I'm here for my cake..." I state. "Oh yes. You're the young man from earlier, it's right here." She points to a pink box on a counter. I tie the dogs on a lamp post nearby. I then walk in and grab the box that contains Jay's cake. "Thank you." I bow down. "No problem." The woman states. I walk outside and grab all the doggos. I then run to Jay's house again. By that time, it was 4:30. I knock on the door. "I've got the cake and the pups." I state. Jace opens the door. "Sorry. We thought you were Jay, but then it made no sense, 'cuz why would he knock at his own door." Jace gives a brief explination. "It's cool. Umm. I've got the cake." I state. "Let's see it!" Zoe exclaims. they all nod in agreement. "Ok, we should set it on the table first, though. I don't want to drop it." I say. I look over and see Vasco fangirling over Jay's pups. "Wanna take care of them?" I ask. Vasco nods like an innocent child that is being asked if they want to go to Chuck E. Cheese. I take off their leashes and set them loose. Vasco then hugs Enu. I walk over to the table and set the pink box down. Everyone crowds around me as I reveal the cake. It was... Perfect. "Wow! That's amazing!" Mira exclaims, putting her hands together.
"Guys! It's 4:55! Hurry up and hide! I'll put Enu and the pups in the room." I exclaim. They hurridly all pick a hiding spot. Vasco and Jace behind the counter. Zoe, Crystal, Mira, and Zack behind the couch. I run to Jay's room and leave them inside. I then run behind the counter with Vasco and Jace. After a few minutes of hiding, we hear the door knob jiggle. The door then cracks open. I peek through the corner and see Jay. "Crap... I really f*cked this place up...." He mumbles. I then remember the balloons. The good thing is Jay didn't seem to notice them. I give the others the signal. "SUPRISE!" We all shout. Jay jumps. "Welcome back!" I shout. He smiles. Vasco goes to Jay's room to let the doggos out. The pups right away jump on Jay. "Urgh" He groans in pain. Zack and I pull them off him. "Haha. Sorry. Guess they're happy to see you." I say. "Glad you're back." Crystal says as she nudges Jay. Zoe gives everyone a confetti gun and we point it at Jay.
After we pull the trigger, confetti is all over him. We all laugh as he just stares at it. "The cake..." Vasco points out. "I'll grab it!" Jace shouts. As he grabs the cake, Enu trips him. The cake begins to fall, but Zack jumps over to catch it. "Oof. I've got it." He says. "You're so fast." Mira says, smiling with pride at what a great boyfriend she has. We all laugh, even Jay. Crystal grabs a knife ans cuts us all a slice. Zoe then hands everyone a plate. "Thanks. I appreciate it..." Jay mutters. "No problem! Mira gave me no choice!" Zack says, chuckling, as he slaps Jay's back.
We continue to talk for a few more hours, but then it gets late, so everyone goes home. "Want to chill on the room and enjoy the view?" Jay asks. "Sure!" I reply, rather quickly.
We get on the roof and sit down. Jay had brung some wine, so began to pour some for the both of us. As I took a sip, Jay calls my name. "Yeah?" I ask. I look over at him, a little concerned. He tilts my head up and kisses my lips. "I love you..." He whispers in my ear. That makes me get chills. My face flushes from excitement and embarrassment. He then pins me down to and kisses my neck.
