[you]"here we are." i stopped in my tracks, the street empty, rain falling from the stars, in front of my apartment complex.
"can you get in okay?" i nodded in reply, smiling as i began walking toward the door. with my hand on the door handle, i stopped, and turned. jisung has already turned the corner, and i was quick to chase after him.
"wait!" i grabbed his wrist and pulled him around. "d-do you have an umbrella?" i stuttered out.
"o-oh... no, i don't." i held the umbrella out in my hand, and gestured for him to take it.
"go on, take it." he seemed hesitant. "it's okay, i'm already home anyway. besides, at this point i've been holding this umbrella out for so long i'm already soaked." we laughed together, and he took the umbrella from my hands. he looked silly, opening an umbrella that used to belong to a seven year old and startling himself when it opened harshly.
"how will i give it back?"
"well..." i began, "if you're planning on going to starbucks again tomorrow, just return it there." i said, a wide grin on my face.
"y-you're going tomorrow, too?" a little confused by his question, i pursed my lips.
"sure am. i'll see you there. g'night, jisung." as i turned smartly on my feet, he stopped me once more.
"wait... how did you know my name?" realizing i looked like a stalker, i thanked him once more, and sprinted into my home.pushing the door shut with my back, i made it seem like i'd been chased by a pack of wild animals.
"didn't we tell you specifically not to die." i didn't even notice my dad drying the dishes in the kitchen in front of me.
"god, dad don't scare me like that!" sighing, i locked the door behind m and sluggishly retreated to my room. in the safety of my own room, i pulled my stool over to my tall window and opened the curtains just to enough to peek through.he was still there, only, he didn't look weirded out, he was smiling and giggling sheepishly. as he turned around, he swung the umbrella in front of him, exposing himself to the rain and staring at my umbrella thoughtfully. finally, he sighed, swung the umbrella over his shoulder, and left. leaving me an excited, weird, mess.
[jisung]
"sure am, i'll see you there. g'night jisung."
replaying the scene in my head, i couldn't help but get excited as much as i should've been creeped out.
the only reason i wasn't was because if she figured out my name, she at least thinks i'm a cool guy.did she figure out i'm in nct?
did she find something online?
did she...i stopped in my tracks.
my green tea! she must've taken it to figure out my name. i couldn't help but giggle like a child, and if anyone were to see me they'd probably think i was insane.i pulled out my phone to check the time, and while it read 11:49, it also read,
jeno (new message) now
jeno(new message) 1 min
jeno (new message) 3m
he's been messaging me for the past twenty minutes.
i would have replied, but i thought it was better to save my last 9% for a possible emergency. clicking off my phone, i tossed in my bag, walking the long way back to my dorm.
but, to speak my truth, i didn't care about my aching muscles and the long walk ahead of me. as long as tomorrow came, where i could meet "her" again, i can stick it out.a/n sorry for the short chapter :,/
