Chapter ten ~ Vlady

Ever since Kurapika came to my place I've been trying to avoid him. He acted nice and I liked it, I liked the way he acted and it made me unconscious of possible dangers. Although I know that humans in this age are less careful and aren't out for crucifying the vampires anymore, I still can't trust them. Especially since he is a Hunter, it would be too dangerous to blindly trust him.

I walk into the classroom, which seems like someone pulled a damn annoying prank. The entire floor is covered in the anti-Koro-Sensei BB-bullets. They are also sticked to the windows, walls, door, tables, ceiling and even the crayons. I sigh and start cleaning my table and chair, picking off the bullets one by one and throwing them on the ground before sitting down. "You're a game breaker!" I hear behind me. I turn around to see Terasaka with a few other boys. I recognise Nagisa and Maehera but didn't remember the names of the other boys being with him.

"I am very sorry but aren't you the one who sticked BB-bullets to my chair?" I make sure to make clear that it is my chair by pronouncing 'my' exagerated.

"It was to be able to assassinate Koro-Sensei!" Terasaka says, slowly walking up to me.

"You won't kill him with this, he can easily turn around and walk back when seeing this," I explain to them. Is it the fact that they're humans or boys which makes them this stupid?

"He mostly rushes in without a second thought, that's why we thought this would work," Maehera explains.

"If you rush in with a super-speed, you can also rush out with super-speed. Maybe one or two tentacles will melt but it won't be enough to kill him. You would have to find a way to lock him in to make this work and shoot him at the same time. But if everyone starts shooting in a locked classroom the chance of hitting someone else is big," I explain my thought. The boys look at me as if I've gone crazy and start discussing when Koro-Sensei will arrive as if I just didn't say anything. I sigh and look at them, is it enthousiasm or stupidness?

Suddenly Kurapika walks in, obviously not noticing the bullets, he trips and ends on the ground. His neat blue kimono doesn't look that neat anymore and the grey shirt below it is showing. His hair is messed-up due to the fall and the BB-bullets which fell from a table, when he tried to catch himself, are laying spread over his body. "Boys are idiots." I get up and walk over.

"I'm not an idiot, the one with the great idea of spreading BB-bullets on the grounds are idiots," Kurapika says while getting up.

"Those were also boys, on top of that I didn't trip. I think it's safe to say that boys are idiots," I explain.

Nagisa helps Kurapika up and start collecting the BB-bullets by using a broom and brushing them all into a corner of the classroom. I look at him swiping up the bullets unless a shadow falles over me from the left, where the window and for that the lightsource is. "Why does it seem like you're avoiding me? Every time I try talking to you to find another time to give you extra math class you find an excuse to rush out," Kurapika says. His hands are laying on my table, his hair is still messy and he seems disappointed.

"I think I understand maths now so I don't need the extra class anymore, thanks for the offer," I answer.

"Oh really?" He walks to the desk of the teachers and gets out a pile of papers. After trying to get a better look I conclude that those must be our mathematics tests from yesterday. Wait... Mathematics... test... Which is probably a huge insufficient. He finds the one he is looking for and puts the rest back in the drawer. It's not hard to see that the red ink, from the pen of the teacher, exceeded the blue ink of the pen which was probably mine. "You understand it but got an F?" Kurapike asks, showing me the paper. It's even worse from up close, like the paper has just been on its period...

"Maybe I don't understand it," I admit.

"I can see that, why did you see that you did understand it?" Kurapika asks.

"Well... Y'know... My parents are kinda anti-boy and don't really want any boy to enter my room. They got mad at me for bringing a boy home because they totally misunderstood last time," I lie. I really hate lying but how do I explain to him that I don't like ending up burning on a stake?

"Couldn't you just tell me? We can also practice extra in class. Is this afternoon possible for you?" he asks.

He found a way around it... Of course. I guess I should just be careful and try to not get distracted while practicing my maths. "Sure, I'll wait in the classroom after the last lesson."

"That would be great," Kurapika says before walking off, more people are walking into the classroom and I notice that some of them were watching the conversation between Kurapika and me. They are whispering and with a bit of effort I can hear the rumors about us forming. 'They were planning a date.' and 'I saw them earlier on a date too.'

I turn my attention to one of the girls whispering and clear my throat to get her attention. "Just to make things clear, Kurapika is going to give me extra class about mathematics. I got an F on the last test."

"O-Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know," the girl seems really surprised and starts to get red cheeks. Her blond hair falls in front of her face when she bends down to apologise. It's a pretty girl which must be popular.

"It's okay. What was your name again?" I ask her.

"My name is Rio Nakamura, just call me Rio please!" she answers.

"My name is Vlady, but I think you already knew. Nice meeting you," I say before Koro-Sensei walks in the classroom.

"Ah Nagisa, thanks for cleaning the BB-bullets in the classroom. Vlady, I see you're making some new friends. That's a great start of the day so why not start this lesson? Please all go to your seat so I can start this wonderfull day!"
