I felt a tug to my shirt, to see that Phil did it. "What happened Phil?" I asked, my best pal. He tried to speak but no words came out of his mouth instead monkey sounds came out. "I can't understand you Phil, but I think Don might be able to!" I responded. Phil jumped up and down in agreement.
"Nat Map, can you show us how to get to Don's house?" I asked. "I sure can do Gilda!" He replied.
"First you have to cross the Yellow Bridge, then a Rainforest before you reach Don's house!" Nat Map directed on his Map. "Yellow Bridge, then a Rainforest before we reach Don's house" Gilda muttered the words to herself. "Thanks for the help Nat Map!" I thanked him. "Anytime Gilda!" Nat Map replied before rolling back up into Backpack's pocket.
We then jogged to where the Purple Bridge was. "Now we just have to cross the Bridge!" I said. "Wow!" someone said coming out of their hiding spot. "It's the Grumpy Old Ray!" I said with Phil probably saying the same thing too!
"Answer me this riddle, then you can cross this bridge" The Grumpy Old Ray said.
The Riddle was:
"I have skin, but no hair,
I have a spine, but no bones,
I have a story, but no mouth. What am I?"
"Uh... what do you think it is Phil?" I asked him being stumped on this question. He made a picture of a square with his hands. 'If that's a clue, then it's something square shaped' I thought. "I don't have all day, so I'm just going to read" he said, reading a book in his hand.
"Ooh Ah Ah!" Phil said in a jumpy tone pointing in the Grumpy Old Ray's direction. After a few minutes of trying to find out what Phil was pointing at, I had an answer. "Grumpy Old Ray, is the answer to the riddle a book? Since it has skin with no hair, it has a spine with no bones, it has a story but no mouth. Right?" I said. "Hahaha! Alright, you two can pass the bridge" he said.
We waved Goodbye before continuing towards the next stop. "What was the next stop again?" I asked. "Fwah!" Phil said. "You mean Fwoosh?" I suggested. He shook his head in disagreement. "So a Rainforest right Phil?" I said to him and he agreed again. So we headed towards the Rainforest. "Hi Gilda!" I heard a familiar voice say in the distance. "It's Emma and Norman!" I said. "Are you going to join us?" Norman asked. "Sure, we just need to go down the river to the Rainforest!" I responded.
We heard a rattling sound nearby. "Hehe Hehe Hehe!" he went. "Yuugo's gonna swipe the life jackets!" Norman exclaimed. "We have to say Yuugo no Swiping everyone" I said.
"Yuugo no swiping" we said putting our hands to stop him, as he got closer. "Yuugo no swiping, Yuugo no swiping, Yuugo no swiping!" we said. "Oh man! Damn brats!" he frustratedly said before going away. "Yay!" we cheered.
"Get your life jackets on, we're gonna row now!" Emma said cheerfully, giving us life jackets. Putting on the life jackets, before getting on a boat. "Let's row! Row, row, row!" Emma said. "Row, row, row! Row, row, row! Row, row, row!" we went, rowing the boat. 'Norman and Emma are so great at this' I thought as they moved in unison while just smiling. 'Phil is doing a really good job at rowing' I added to my train of thought. "Here we are!" Emma stated, as the boat came to a halt. Phil and I got off the boat, returning the Life Jackets. "Bye Emma, Norman!" we said. I heard the two snicker before we left from their sight.
We went through the forest pretty fast, we even encountered Anna who was doing some Butterfly catching! We then arrived at Don's house! "Finally..." I said. "Oh Hi, Gilda what brings you here?" Don asked. "Phil can't talk properly!" I replied. "Okay, where come in the house" Don said in response gesturing us to come inside.
Once I entered, it was dark. "Phil? Don? What's happening?" I asked them.
"SURPRISE!" everyone said as the lights went on. "Happy Birthday Gilda!" they all said.
