Chapter four: So, new realities are a thing huh?

   I'm in yet another place. I pass out and I teleport to somewhere else, or some time else... probably. I wouldn't be too surprised given I saw reality literally turn into a cosmic kaleidoscope then appear in a nondescript desert facility that was theoretically in Nevada. BUT WHO THE HELL KNOWS ANYMORE?! All I know is that the universe is slowly but definitely beginning to unravel. The universe is probably going to die, so yay, apocalypses. WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE! Woo. Death and destruction all around. What more could you fucking want, right?

   Anyway, the place I'm in. It appears to be some kind of forest, dense, large trees, redwood I think. I decide it's a good idea to start walking, so I walk in a straight line down an unknown forest... I'm a genius. After some walking however I hear a couple of voices, one was kinda deep, male, smooth. The other was a female voice, higher in pitch, happy. I walk over to them and awkwardly asked, "Uh...hello? Someone out there?"

   The voices stopped before the male called out. "Hello?"

   "Hello!" I say as I come into view, I was still wearing my somewhat torn suit and still had sand coating me... and dirt, lots of dirt. "My name's Sam, nice to meet ya!" I exclaim, mostly just happy to actually talk to someone.

   The pup, it looked like a wolf, barked and the elven looking man gave it a few pats, smiling slightly. "Nice to meet you Sam, my name is Jaxion and this is Shade. You seem lost, any way we can help?"

   "Oh you don't even know the half of how lost I am, heh... also, where was the lady's voice coming from? All I see is a wolf pup and a... uh... elf????" I ask very confused.

   He chuckled lightly, smiling a bit more. "Yes, I am an elf. Seeing a humanoid that isn't one is very rare, you seem to be just such a rare one however. As for the other voice, Shade? Would you like to lift the confusion of our guest in the woods?"

   The wolf pup, Shade, grinned and barked before saying, "Hi! I'm a magic wolf! Jax saved me, can we help you?" She wagged her tail, panting happily. 

   I look at Shade for a second, did... did a wolf pup just fucking talk to me?!??? Actually, y'know what? I've seen weirder, this is ABSOLUTELY normal, just a talking canine. Simple as that.

   "I uh... see. Well, I'm honestly not sure if you can help me, hell I don't even know where I am right now." I say a little obvious that I didn't know what the fuck was going on.

   Jaxion looked a bit confused, Shade continued wagging her tail, walking up to her. "Well you are in the woods near Trinador, a highly advanced Elven City. As for not knowing how we can help you, it looks like you need a wash and new clothes, as well as a place to stay while you figure out what to do or how to get back to your home."

   Trinador? I don't think that city exists... or elves for that matter. Where the hell am I? Or when even! I looked a little hesitant to trust Jax, but in the end, what choice did I have? I sigh and look at him before stating, "What home? I can't even be sure I'm in the same reality I was born in. And, yeah I need a bath and clothes, thoroughly. My suit has been cut up by some mugger. He's not mugging anymore."

   "I see... Well then until you can make sense of what has happened to you you can stay at my place. I work at a bank and Shade stays at home so you won't be uncomfortable or without company." At this Shade barked, jumping up to land her tiny paws just below my knees, her tail still wagging. Jaxion smiled again saying, "I'm sure she'll love the company. I can get you some new clothes as well."

   I smile down at Shade, it's a sad smile, I gave it remembering my old dog back when I lived in that... hellhole that was called my home. Jacky, that was the dog's name I think, It's been a while... I bend down and pick up Shade, holding her and petting her.
