Okay im talking too much- back to the story!
The song still softly replaying in his mind, Nick traipsed out of the alley into the streets. They were lonely, dingy streets that the council never seemed bothered on fixing them. There were dangerously haphazardly holes in them that could seriously injure an unsuspecting person. Nicholas would know he fractured his middle finger when he took a wrong step. Although on the richer side of the town their roads were immaculately perfect
After taking a left turn 'round a corner, Nicholas arrived at the train station, although the smog seemed to reach him first. Thick, powerful smoke clouded the grey skies making the already gloomy day, gloomier. The smog stung his eyes and choked his throat as if was a living creature ready to attack the closest victim to it.
WOOOOOSH! The train abruptly whizzes past making Nick smile with glee. He loved this part where his already messy hair flies in all direction and his eyes were forced to be shut because they couldn't stand the force. It made him feel like he was happy, like everything was fine. As if all those things with his brother, the police and the lady never happened, as if everything was normal again.
And then it stopped. His hair still stuck in a "just electrocuted" way but he could now open his eyes and see what was in of him in front of him: reality.
The train doors' made a sound similar to air escaping from a tire and a few people left the train ready to be off with the day. Nick went in, with a couple other people, and stood near the door so he could he could quickly leave.
A smell of cinnamon and apple left Nick at his knees. What’s that smell doing here, why is it here, What’s happening? So many questions buzzed around in his head leaving not unlike to a rabbit-frightened and puzzled. The fragrance was the exact one the lady wore, the one who cause his entire world to fall apart.
Trying to distract himself, Nick started to sing the song - although it made him tear up a little. That song combined with this fragrance? It was just too much.
"Oomph!" Sudden stops at the station lead to a couple of falls, including Nick. Although a young school girl fell flat on her face causing a little nosebleed.
"DOORS ARE NOW OPENING"
He never felt happier to hear such an emotionless voice. Sweat had started to form beads around his forehead and his he had to repeatedly wipe his clammy hands.
"Are you okay?" Nicholas twisted his head afraid to see if this soft, almost tinkling voice had belonged to the same person who wore the sickening perfume.
A lady, who looked to be in her mid twenties, wore a white faux fur coat with a flash of splendid pink dress underneath. Glossy auburn hair was styled in a way that made Nick froze with fear. When she smiled harmlessly to the young schoolgirl he wanted to run away, far, far away. He wanted to run under the covers and go to his mother and be like the old days. Because that woman, that creature had destroyed his life and forced him to live in poverty. It was SHE who caused his brother to leave leaving him to fend for himself.
Miss Vivian Klaus Lexus
The name will be forever imprinted in his mind and vowed to take revenge on her, he wouldn’t leave things as they were. Oh no, things were going to change soon- just not soon enough.
"DOORS ARE NOW CLOSING" Nick quickly rushed out just in the nick of time.(A/N Just in the NICK of time heheheh) A little shaken by the things he saw, it forced him to realise that he needed to work harder now. Lexus needed to pay for the things she done and he was going to make sure that justice will be done and when it does he will savour every moment of it, right to the part where she gets her sentence. Oh he couldn’t wait he just needed to finish his last year of university and then he will be a fully fledge lawyer ready to make a difference
