Chapter 4

{The servants aren't really involved in Episodes 5 & 6, so this is when they hear that Madame Red's death}

I sat outside with everyone. I said, "I will miss Madame Red."

Finni looked at me, "So will I."

I looked away for a moment, then I had an idea, "Bardroy, I need your help with something."

-The Kitchen-

"What are you doing, Larkspur?" Bardroy asked me.

"The young master would want something sweet to eat when he gets back. I will show you something that's easy to make that will not require a flamethrower." I explained.

Bardroy said, "What is it?"

"It's a cake called the Victorian sandwich." I said.

-Time Skip-

Bardroy was a little grumpy that he couldn't use his flamethrower, but making the cake was half the fun. The cake was ready and out of the oven when Ciel and Sebastian returned. Sebastian said, "What is this, Larkspur?"

"This cake is the Victorian sandwich. I figured that the young master would want something sweet to eat, so me and Bardroy made this." I explained.

Sebastian looked skeptical, "You two made this and you didn't burn down the house?"

"I kept him away from his flamethrower." I replied.

Sebastian picked up the cake and put it on the cart. Then he prepared some tea. He looked at me, "Come with me, we'll present it to the young master."

I walked to him to the study. Ciel looked at me, then saw the slice of cake, "What is this?"

"Larkspur and Bardroy prepared for you, my lord." Sebastian told him.

Ciel looked skeptical, but picked up the fork and sampled the cake. There was a short pause, then Ciel looked at me, "Are you competing with Sebastian, by any chance? This is delicious."

I wanted to yell in celebration, but I kept my composure. I simply bowed and said, "I'm thankful it's to your liking, young master."

Ciel said, "You may leave, Larkspur."

I bowed and walked out of the study. Bardroy asked me, "What did he think?"

"He liked it." I told him, smiling.

Bardroy yelled, "Alright!"

The rest of the cake was shared with the rest of us. I saved a piece for Sebastian in case he wanted it.
