-The Next Morning-
We were all down. Sebastian said, "Why the long faces? You were excited about this trip before."
"That was before someone was killed by an animal." I told him.
Sebastian held up some swimsuits and a picnic basket, "We came to a health resort, remember?"
We all smiled.
-Time Skip-
We changed and ran in the lake. Mey-Rin hasn't stepped in yet. Finni yelled, "Come in, Mey-Rin!"
"I can't!" she yelled, blushing.
"Chances like this don't happen every often. Come out here!" Bardroy told her.
Mey-Rin stepped out. Her swimsuit looked really cute. She was still blushing, "This is really embarrassing."
"You look great, Mey-Rin!" Finni told her.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yes, you do!" I said.
"I bet you'll look even better without your glasses." Bardroy said, reaching for her glasses.
Mey-Rin backed away from him. I laughed, then we all returned to the water. Finni waved at Angela, "Angela!"
She waved back. It took every fiber of my being to not react.
-Time Skip-
We were all enjoying the packed lunch that Sebastian made for us. Angela asked, "Is it really ok if I eat with you?"
"Yes, feel free." I told her. I'm surprised no one noticed how irritable I was around her.
"Sebastian's packed lunches are the best!" Mey-Rin said.
Then we heard villagers shouting, "The bad dog has been found! The punishment is about to begin!"
-Time Skip-
We changed back into our regular clothes and we made it to a stone wall at the top of the hill. James's dog was chained to the wall while the other dogs were being held back by their owners. While I know that the dogs were not at fault for their behavior, I was still trembling because everything they were saying. James's dog was holding something in his mouth, but he wouldn't show what it was. When he wouldn't submit, Lord Barrymore asked the villagers to release their dogs. They ran at full speed toward James's dog and attacked. I was hyperventilating at this moment, then Finni yelled, "Stop it!"
He grabbed a wooden post and hit every dog off of James's dog. We heard murmuring and I knew that things weren't going to be in our favor.
-Time Skip-
Ciel was chained to the wall while we were tied and gagged to the post. Angela said, "Master, please let them go!"
Lord Barrymore said, "I may let them free, depending on what the Queen's guard dog says."
Ciel smiled, "You would go this far to protect your little kingdom? You're the very definition of the word 'obsession'."
"Then you will know what will happen to those who defy me!" Lord Barrymore shouted.
The dogs were released, running straight toward Ciel. Then Sebastian jumped in and stopped all the dogs. Ciel said, "You're late."
"My apologies, my lord." Sebastian replied.
Ciel scoffed. Lord Barrymore shouted, "What's the meaning of this?!"
Sebastian and Ciel explained everything. The bite marks were from a dog that Lord Barrymore already had. The shadow was from a projector. The glowing footprints was phosphor that Lord Barrymore sprinkled on a regular dog. Then Sebastian had James's dog let go of what he was holding. It was a piece of Lord Barrymore's trousers when he was bitten. Lord Barrymore had killed James and the dog tried to protect him. The villagers carried Lord Barrymore away. Sebastian released all of us from our bonds. Finni and I walked to the now dead dog. Finni said sadly, "You tried to protect your master to the end."
We both cried and held the dog. Sebastian said, "And this is why I hate dogs."
-Later That Day-
Me and Mey-Rin were walking toward the basement. I said, "What a day, wouldn't you say?"
"Yes. Who would've thought that the village's own leader would kill someone?" Mey-Rin replied.
We saw Lord Barrymore's cell. There was blood splattered everywhere. We both screamed. Finni, Bardroy, and Tanaka ran down the stairs. Bardroy asked, "What's the matter?"
We pointed to the scene.
{I know this took a long time, but here you go! I hope you enjoy!}
