CHAPTER ONE
Pretty Rave Girl
The club lights pounded around me, matching the music almost as perfectly as my hips did. I swung my hips in time with the thrumming bass from the electronic beat, the little skirt I was wearing flipping up in the back and the sides, teasing the male viewers with just the barest glance of my oh-so lovely assets. I reached to the ceiling with my hands, glowsticks adorning my wrists and down my arms, bringing attention to the glowing necklace that dived down the V of my top, connecting to the belt that complimented the skirt that moved with my body like liquid.
I threw my head back and followed the words of the song with my lips, barely singing since it wasn't like anyone could hear me, anyway. The neon-colored ribbons that laced their way up my bare and clean-shaven legs moved with me as I used the balls of my feet to make my movements smoother, bending at the knees slightly and keeping my hips moving with the beat.
Hands went to my waist and I grinned to myself, waiting for the body behind me to inch closer to mine.
Moving with him, I let my arms fall back and onto his shoulders, wrapping them around his neck. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, my face the barest inches from his.
"Love me," I breathed, keeping the words near-silent, changing the rotation of my hips as the songs switched, matching the beat once again. My lips grazed the underside of his chin, and he jumped, making the small seductress inside of me smirk.
He looked down at me, his eyes an unknown color, the original color lost within the blinking multi-colored lights of the club. He didn't even question me, he didn't even ask. His lips just found mine and forced them to react, something that made the seductress raise her eyebrows in a way that said, 'do you want to start something, boy?'
I grinned against his lips and pulled away just a bit, making eye contact, boring my own mystery shade of eyes into his. Gently, I brought his bottom lip into my mouth, keeping it between my teeth and adding the littlest amount of pressure. I ran my tongue along the small areas where I had bit and let him run his tongue by mine.
He muttered something but I didn't hear it- nor did I really care. I turned into him and let us face front-to-front, a smirk on my face.
Leaning in for another kiss, he let his hands trail down my body, cupping my ass tightly, his fingertips creeping up under my skirt.
I threw my head back and laughed, catching him off guard.
"It's midnight," I whispered, laying a small kiss at the base of his throat. "It's time for Cinderella to leave."
He clearly didn't hear me, and tried to get my lips to go to his, but I grinned and pushed myself away from him. "Bad boy," I trailed my hand down his chest as I took a step back, a grin on my face, the half-mask cutting into my cheeks. "You've had your fun." He reached out for me, but it was too late. Already I was moving, dancing through the mob of moving and dancing bodies, others' sweat coating my body as I brushed past them.
The cool air of the outdoors hit me and I took in a deep breath, letting it out as a sigh.
People around the entrance were talking or smoking, hushed tones and soft laughter floating around me like the clouds of tobacco smoke. I brushed a few strands of my hair out of my face and looked up to the starry sky, staring up at it and reveling in the cold wind that whipped against the bits of my face not covered by the mask.
Someone next to me tapped my shoulder, bringing me out of my reveries. I glanced over at them and smiled. "Yes?" I said, keeping my voice soft, too quiet to ever really recognize.
"You're beautiful," he said, and my smile grew.
I know.
"I know," I told him. "Good-bye."
The taxi pulled up at the perfect time, another having called it up. The person who had intended to use it first barely glanced at me as I slid into the backseat, closing the door before they could even get a foot in.
"Where to?" The driver asked, using his rear-view mirror to take a peek at me.
I leaned my forehead against the window and smiled. "Take me home."
