Life After Death

He woke up to groaning. Lots of it. He sprang up and looked out the window of the back door, a huge herd was making its way towards him. "Oh god" he whispered, he quickly jumped to the front seat to start the van. He couldn't find they keys...

"Nononono" He said,his voice trembling. Mayo was going crazy, barking and growling. "Mayo! Shhhh" Jason stroked her head, but it didn't work. The groaning got louder, he dug around for the keys. A blood hurdling scream echoed out, he jerked his head towards the noise then quickly went back to searching. Another scream, they found them....

A hand hit the window, and Mayo went crazier then before. Jason kept digging through the boxes, "YES!" He had found the key. He jumped up into the drivers seat and started the car, and sped down the trail. "WOOHOO!! We made it girl!" He turned back to look at Mayo, she happily barked back at him.

After awhile of driving, they entered the city. Mayo whined and clawed at the door, "Need to potty girl?" Mayo jumped up and wagged her tail, "Hold on, let's wait till we get out of the city"
He turned his head back to the road just as a freak quickly crawled out into the road on all fours. "OH GOD" he swerved off the road and crashed into a building.

He screamed as his once brother chased him. He ran to the front door and swung it open, "HELP! HELP! HELP ME!" He screamed as he ran down the hallway. A door to once of his neighbor's swung open and a huge muscular man with a messy black beard and hair emerged. He was holding a shotgun"Get inside!" The man screamed, he cocked his gun and fired.

Jason slowly opened his eyes, he could hear the screams, groans and barking...BARKING! His heart skipped "MAYO!" He unbuckled his belt and fell, the van was flipped upside down. His whole body hurt, but he had to save his dog, he slowly and painfully crawled out of the busted windshield.
Mayo Barked as one of them shuffled towards her, "LEAVE.....HER......ALONE" his voice ripped. He tried to stand up, but he was to weak. It got closer and closer, he weakly crawled to her, "GO....AWAY!"
Something grabbed his ankle, and pulled him. He turned to see a freak holding onto his ankle and dragging him, half of its face was missing, and bloody foam came out of its mouth. "GET OFF!" He screamed. It's jaw snapped open and closed loudly. He tried to hold it back, but it was to strong it came down lower.

It was close to his shoulder, he closed his eyes and accepted his fate. Suddenly there was a loud bang, something warm splattered on his face and his ears rung. "Alex get him, I'll get the dog!" A woman's voice said. Everything was getting dark,the last thing he saw a black figure standing over him, then everything went black.

When he woke up he was in a huge room with sheets and tarps making a smaller room around him.A  young women with blonde hair pulled into a bun was changing his IV tube. She looked him in the eye and smiled, she turned and walked off. She pulled back a small curtain "He's awake!" Two people walked into the room, a girl with short blue, hair spiked into a small Mohawk. She was wearing a large, black trench coat and a stained white t shirt. The other was a man, heavily built, dark skinned and bald wearing a white tank top.

The woman spoke "I'm Kasy, that's Alex" Jason tried to sit up, but the nurse grabbed him "easy, don't hurt yourself". She laid him down and the women spoke again "We're the ones  who saved you yesterday". "M-my dog?" "She's fine" Kasy reassured, then the man spoke "You've been out for a day" "My car?" "Destroyed, we'll take you back there to get your stuff-" Kasy butted in "There where to many of them, we had to book it after we grabbed y'all" "What is this place?" "An old wear-house, we don't really have a name for it" Alex said, Kasy looked at him "let's show him around".

He started by meeting the nurse that was with him when he woke, Ella. He didn't have time to talk to her because she had work, but he could go back. They walked to the exit, Kasy grabbed the sheet they used as an entrance "Are you ready to see your new home?" She said smiling, Jason smiled back and nodded. She pulled back the sheet, revealing a huge open room, there were people walking around! Actual people, not the dead! Living, breathing people!
"Wow" He whispered, "So! Where should we start?" Jason looked at her eagerly, "Anywhere is fine!"
