Matias laid Venessa down. Laura put a rag on her head and Libby held her hand. "I'm sorry" Matias whispered "I couldn't protect you" he started to cry, then he got up and stormed out of the room, Jason followed. "Mathias! Wait!" Matias grabbed an axe and attempted to climb the barricade. Alex grabbed Him and threw him to the floor. "No!" He screamed, "No!" This time, pointing finger at him.

Jason ran over and helped him up, "Your daughter needs you man!". Matias started to cry, "I can't see her like that, man!" He whispered "please..I...I..can't see her like that!". Matias put a hand on her shoulder, "If you don't, you'll regret it!". Matias nodded, holding back tears, he pushed past people and walked into the back room.

Jason followed him in there, Libby, Laura and Matias where crouched beside her. He knelt beside Laura, her put an arm around her, Libby whispered something in Venessa's ear, she nodded. Venessa suddenly coughed into a rag, she put it down revealing blood. Jason choked up. Venessa looked at him, "You care?" She asked weakly. A tear rolled Jason's face, "of-of corse! You're like family" he put his hand on her leg.

"I can't anymore" Jason said, "I'm clearing this place out!" He got up, "so you can be home, in comfort!" He walked out of the room. "Reid!" Reid turned around, "Hand me a gun, I'm helping!" Reid handed him a rifle, he leaned over the rail and shot below. "Oh man.." Damon said sadly, everyone looked at him, "Its Ella!" He pointed down, Jason followed his finger to see Ella among the crowd, shuffling around.

Damon closed his eyes and fired, the bullet flew through her head. They continued to shoot into the crowd, I'm about 20 minutes, only a few remained. Alex took down the barricade and they all rushed down the stairs. It was easy, they all fought together, like family.

"I'm out!" A women named Francine yelled, Marcus threw her a clip. " I'll cover you!" He yelled, while she reloaded. Reid swung his hammer claw left and right, not missing hits. Once they they cleared the main building, they walked outside, it was now dawn.

Smoke still filled air and the dead walked around. A man named Ronny grabbed some fire extinguishers, he handed them off to Sadie and Jorge. Each other then gathered a group and ran towards the burning guard towers.

"Cover me!" Jorge yelled, Zhang nodded and turned around, killing any that came near him.

"You guys, cover the fallen fences! Make sure no more come in!" Reid yelled, a group of seven people, including Jamie ran over to the gaping hole.

Reid looked at the others, "the rest of us, clear this place out!" They all scattered, doing their best to clear help. Damon lead a group to the runner's building to gather more weapons. Reid took a group to the living quarters. Jason and Craig cleared the courtyard.

Reid threw the door open and ran into the building, the others rushing behind him, "Logan! Help me pass these out" he wheeled in multiple crates and racks of guns, the man grabbed them and started handing them out.

Jorge continued to extinguish the flames while Zhang and a few others guarded him. "Dan! To your right!" Zhang yelled at a guy, he turned around and turned at two that had come in a rushed him. Dan turned to face Zhang and nodded at him, Zhang nodded back. "It's almost out!" Jorge yelled, his voice full of hope.

Tears of joy filled Sadie's eyes, the fire was out and most of the undead in the courtyard where dead, they were going to win. "Help them!" She pointed over to Jorge's group, "Stay together!" They all ran across to the other side together. An undead ran at Zhang as he was faced the other way, he turned around just in time to see Sadie slam the fire extinguisher against its head. It made a loud crack, and fell down. "Thank you!" Zhang yelled. Sadie ran up beside Jorge and helped him extinguish the flames.

Reid and his group came out guns blazing, Logan wheeled out more weapons to hand out to everyone else. "They're almost dead!" Alex screamed, he turned around and aimed "This is our home!" He starts firing "This will always be ours!".

Before long, the survivors had won, every single undead where dead. People cheered, high fived, laughed and hugged. Jason and Laura went back upstairs and into the place Venessa, Libby and Mathias were staying.

"It's okay to go out now" Jason said, putting a hand on Mathias' shoulder.
He didn't speak, he just nodded. Him and his wife grabbed Venessa and walked towards the door, "wait" she said weakly "I wanna say goodbye to everyone". They looked at each other, then sat her back down.

Laura was the first to go, she knelt beside her dying sister and put a hand on her chest. "I love you" She said, tears falling down her face, "I love you too" Venessa smiled, then said "Keep my drawings that I made" she coughed, "They're in my room, under my mattress". Laura shuttered, trying to hold back tears. "I-I-oh god, I will" she kissed her on the head and got up, walking towards the back of the room.

Jason was next, he again knelt beside her. "I'm sorry about Mayo.." she whispered, tears formed in his eyes "I'm sorry that we didn't" he started to cry again, "I'm sorry that we" he couldn't say it, "that we didn't get here on time" Venessa grabbed his hand "I-" cough, "Its not your fault, your car was destroyed, they made y'all stop" Jason got up and ruffled her hair, he couldn't talk anymore, he walked over to the corner. He slumped down and cried.

One by one her friends said goodbye, Kasy, Alex, Damon, Reid, Craig and others that Jason had never talked to, some of them her age. After about an hour, it was only them five in the room. They just sat in silence, comforting her the best they could. Finally, Venessa broke the silence, "I'm ready" she whispered, she couldn't talk above a whisper. Mathias picked her up like a baby, Libby put the cloth on her head, she then grabbed her hand and walked with them. "I love the woods" she whispered "that's where I wanna go". They walked out the door and down the stairs. Laura and Jason followed.

They walked with them till the got to the fence, the waited as the three walked in. Jason pulled Laura into his arms and held her tight, he squeezed his eyes shut and held his breath.

Gunshot.

Laura lost it, she sobbed uncontrollably into his arms. Jason cried too, he cried into her hair.

Gunshot.

"NO!" Mathias screamed from the woods. Jason threw Laura off of him, "Stay here!" He yelled "Alex, Reid follow me!" They all ran into the woods going towards the noise. They all stopped in their tracks, "oh my god" Alex whispered. Venessa was propped up against the tree, a bullet wound in her head, a few feet away was Libby, she was laying down, the gun tightly held in one hand. Blood seeped from her head, Mathias was on his knees beside her. His face was red, tears streamed down his face. He closed his eyes, then yanked the gun out of her stiff hand, "NO!" Alex tackles him, Reid picked up the gun. Mathias struggled against Alex, but he was too strong.

Mathias sobbed, They all just stood there watching in horror and sadness.
