The Runner's area was outside, on the side of the warehouse, Carlyle was the leader and Marcus, second in command. Craig was a chubby man, he always wore a button up shirt with tropical plants on it and tan shorts. Marcus wore a grey shirt and black vest, sunglasses and a black cap. He had military experience, so that's why he was second in command.
Another guy, Damon was their driver. He never really wore armor, like the others. He just wore a white shirt and jeans. Reid was probably the coolest, he was the weapons expert, he knew everything about guns, how to use them, how to clean them, he could take them apart and put them back together in about a minute.

"So" Damon said looking at him, "You're the new guy?" Jason nodded. "Well, welcome to the team" he held out his fist for a fist bump. "We're going back to my van, right?" Jason asked, "Yes siry! We just gotta wait for Car to get ready." "Will Mayo be able to come with us?" Damon looked down at her, "I don't see why not!".

It had been about 5 more minutes before Carlyle and the others came out. Reid handed everyone a pistol and a assault rifle. Everyone gathered up and Carlyle stood in-front of them. "Alright guys! He said, "We're going to the new guys van to gather his stuff, it should take an hour or two, not long!" He loaded his scoped AK-47. "Let's get going guys!".

The drive was a long one, about and hour and a half, but they passed the time by talking. "Remember the huge anniversary party we had the first year?" Craig asked. "Oh my god, YES!" Marcus said laughing. "Dude!" Damon said turning around "Don't tell the new guy please!". "Yeah," Reid said, Damon sighed in relief, "let me do it!" "No! Reid! No!". Reid laughed "eyes on the road pantswetter!".

Reid turned to Jason, "anyway, every year we have a celebration for living another year." Carlyle and Craig laughed. "Okay, So first time we did this, Damon over here got so drunk, he peed himself!" Everyone lost it, except Damon. "It's really not that funny!" He said annoyed, "Yes it is!" Marcus yelled.

"Alright, We're here" Damon said, turning off the car. Reid slung his M4A1 around so that he was holding it. Craig picked up his Remington ACR. "Alright Jason, watch out for the undead, we'll watch your back while you grab your stuff". Carlyle looked at everyone, "Ready? 3....2.....1!".

They jumped out of the van, Reid scouted the area. Jason quickly ran over to the van, with Mayo closely behind him. He heard the eerie croaks and moans of the undead coming quickly towards him. "CRAIG, LOOK OUT!" Damon screamed, followed by gunshots. He had to hurry. He grabbed Mayo's dog bed, her food and bowl. The heard his new friends screaming, gunshots and undead screams. He went even faster. The polaroids, books and ammo. More screams and gunshots. He grabbed his spear and got up. He ran towards his friends, "we gotta go!" Carlyle screamed. The Craig yelled at them, "ITS A HORDE!" The horde complete surrounded the car, they had to leave on foot. "Go go go go go!" Marcus yelled. They all took off down the street with the horde following close behind.

Craig tripped. "NO!" Carlyle said stopping, "leave me!" Reid got behind them, "I'll hold them off!" He started firing into the horde. Carlyle picked up Craig and half carried, half drug him down the road.

They'd been running for about an hour, the horde still on their trail. "I-can't-take...much more!" Marcus said, panting. "I feel like imma pass out" Reid said weakly. Jason looked around for somewhere to hide, think, think think!  He thought to himself. He spotted an old factory in the distance, it was surrounded by chain link fence. "There!" He said pointing towards it. Carlyle's eyes widened. "No!" Marcus said, "Never go there! EVER!" Jason looked confused. "W-why". Reid looked at him with a worried face, "Those people are pure evil dude!".

"How?" Damon spoke, "no time to explain! They're coming!" They all looked over the hill to see the massive horde running at them. "Into the woods!" Carlyle yelled, he dragged Craig into the woods Damon, Reid, Mayo and Marcus followed. Jason didn't. I just have to try he thought. He turned away from the  group and ran into the compound. "WHAT IS HE DOING?!!" Reid screamed. "I got him" Marcus said, he then bolted towards Jason. Carlyle turned towards him, "NO! YOU'RE GONNA GET YOURSELF KILLED!" Marcus ignored him and kept running.

Jason found a small hole under the fence and slipped under, he ran towards the huge building. He stopped when he saw 2 big men in leather jackets walking ahead of him. He threw himself down into the bushes. He quietly sat in the bushes and watched them. After about a minute or two, he felt a hand touch his shoulder. He jumped and almost screamed, but a hand muffled his mouth. "Shhhhh" he heard someone say, he thrashed around. "It's me, man! Marcus whispered. Jason calmed down. "That was stupid! We gotta get out of here before they find out!".

"Too late fellers" a deep, raspy voice said. The man grabbed both of them by the collars of their shirts and dragged them down a long dirt road. He dropped them outside of the building, where tons of others surrounded them. Jason looked up at the man, he had a dirty white shirt and black leather jacket. He had boots with spurs, his hair was long and messy. A deep gash ran down the middle of his face. "Now, I haven't seen you befores" he said. "Name?" "J-j-Jason" "Jason?!" The man laughed. He spat on him, "I'm Jared". Jason jumped up and grabbed him by the shirt. "LET US GO YOU PEICE OF-". "LET THEM GO!" Someone screamed, it was Carlyle, Reid, Craig, Damon and Mayo.

They all fired their guns at the men, taking some of them out. Jared picked up an AK-12 from one of his fallen men and shot back. "Get back!" Reid yelled, pulling Damon behind a barrier. Carlyle kept firing, hiring another guy in the face. "YOU!" Jared screamed at him, he then sprayed his gun at Carlyle,  a bullet found its home in his rip cage, followed a nasty squish sound and him shrieking.

"Now, you!" He pointed the gun at Jason and pulled the trigger. He closed his eyes, waiting for the pain, he heard bullets hitting something, the same nasty squish, blood splatters over his face. When he opened his eyes, Carlyle was standing in-front of him, a huge red spot spreading all over his shirt. "Y-y-your we-welcome..." cough "newbie".
He then fell over and his eyes rolled into his head. Carlyle started to twitch violently, blood poured out of his mouth, a bullet suddenly entered his head. Marcus was standing above him, with a Glock.

He dropped to his knees and broke down. "He-He was my best friend!" He said in between sobs. Reid grabbed him, "we gotta go man! We gotta go."
Jared smiled, his men behind him, guns drawn. "Shoo, or it'll get worse"

They found their car again. The drive home was quite, Everyone cried for the lost of their friend, Marcus was a wreck, he sobbed the whole way home. Jason sat up against the wall and silently cried while holding Mayo. Carlyle's death was his fault, if he didn't go into there, he wouldn't be dead, it was his fault, just like Allen's.
