A long scar runs across her left cheek down to her chin. Her feathers aren't as bright either, they look worn and bleak.

Personality:
Kyp is a coward, and she's not afraid to admit it. All her life she's been abused and used, scared to speak up and risk getting beaten again. She was born in captivity and that has had a huge effect on her mental state. She follows everything others say, often forgetting that she isn't a slave anymore. She doesn't make eye contact with anyone and can often be caught staring at her hands as they rub together nervously.
She can't help but to be scared, it was programed into her from birth. Kyp get nervous easily, she feels as though whatever she's doing isn't enough. She'd rather not talk to people, preferring to be by herself and her thoughts.
Kyp's imagination is wild though. She daydreams all of the time, entertaining herself with thoughts of happier places. Her smile is one that is rare to see, as she was trained never to show any happy emotions.
Despite her freedom, she often falls back into her old ways of acting subservient to everyone she meets. Without Ollie there, she doubts that she'd even be her own person.
She often sees the best in people, and gives others the benefit of the doubt every time. Kyp wants to believe that there are still good people out there despite what she's seen so far. There is always something better out there, that's what she keeps telling herself. But so far she just seems to be proving herself wrong.
She doesn't trust anyone, not even herself. The only one closest to gaining her trust in Ollie, and that's only because she needs him to survive. Kyp believes that everyone is out to get her, to use her for some purpose other than what is on the surface.
Backstory:
Kyp was born as a slave for the Ax. Her species, the Azan, all are. She has never known her parents as they were taken from her at birth. Due to her beautiful appearance though, she was taken to the Palace where all of the royals live. At the age of 16 she became one of Lazarus's (the High General of the Ax) wives. He raped and abused her for years. She had never known any different, so she just dealt with it. One day, the other wives were scheming about escaping and Kyp was pulled into their plot. Merchant ships had just arrived to the planet a day before and were scheduled to leave soon, the wives with them. The wives were to be taken to another planet where they would be sold off to rulers of other planets. The wives, having planned their escape perfectly, were then shipped off when the day came. They overtook the ship once it had left Ax airspace and piloted it toward Neptune where one of the wives had family that would hide them. It turned out that there was a tracking device on the ship, and once the ship went off-course the Ax sent out retrieval teams. The wives were hunted down and their ship was captured, but not before Kyp escaped by herself in an life pod. The pod landed on Neptune two days later, and the Ax with it. There was no going back now, so the Ax launched a full scale invasion of Neptune. All of it was just to get back one little slave. Kyp didn't understand why she was so valuable to them, but she never had time to dig much into the question as she was always on the run. She made her way across Neptune to a ship bay and hid herself on one of the ships. This was where she met Ollie. They escaped to Jupiter and became runners for the black market. Then the Ax found them again. She knew that Ollie loved his parents and she remembered how much she wanted to know her own, she didn't want Ollie to be like her. She agreed to the trade. The night of the trade came and it all went to shit. Ollie's parents were killed and she was shot in the leg. Ollie was her only way of escape once again. She joined him when applying for a cargo transfer mission, posing as a medic.
Skills:
Kyp is not known for her ability to do, well, much of anything really. She isn't someone who's "talented", in any use of the word. Though, she is skilled in healing. It's an ability that her species, the Azan, all have- at least to an extent. She is one of the more powerful healers however. Kyp's ability isn't magic however. The use of her power drains her energy severely, and with prolonged use could cause permanent damage to her. The use of her power isn't only limited to healing though, she is able to sense emotions as well. It's not like she can hear what someone is thinking/feeling, but she does get a sense of how the person feels at that moment.
Fears:
Everything, for Kyp is scary. She has only been free from captivity for a few years, so she's still not used to the world. Her biggest fear, though, is being shipped back into slavery, especially for the Ax. Kyp remembers when the the High General would call her into his room late at night. She was helpless, bending to his will at every turn. She couldn't fight back and her nights would always end with her in tears after the General had the guards return Kyp to her cell. She fears that feeling, the feeling of being totally under control. Kyp is scared that she will one day be back there, back in that cell, and be totally helpless as Lazarus has his way with her.
