"Did you hear that we might be getting a new addition to Jumpstreet?" Judy said with a smile as she walked over to Harry's desk.
"I heard it. I thought that was just office gossip." Harry stated looking at Judy.
"Ioki, Hoffs, Hanson, Penhall. My office." Fuller said standing outside the door of his office before disappearing back inside.
The four officers made their way into the Captain's office, they noticed someone sitting in one of the two chairs that were in front of Fuller's desk.
"Everyone, I'd like to introduce Officer Charlotte Carvelli." Fuller smiled lightly at them. "The newest addition to Jumpstreet."
"Charlie. I hate being called Charlotte." Charlie spoke up as she stood turning to look at the other young officers.
"Carvelli as in Vincent "The Flash" Carvelli?" A guy with dark short hair asked.
"Yeah, Flash Carvelli is my father." She smiled lightly at the nickname of her fathers. "He's a big fan of Flash Gordon and also people say that he used to run faster than most in his earlier days," she said.
"What are you doing here?" the dark-skinned girl asked.
"I've heard my father talk about the Jumpstreet Program and I thought it wasn't for me but he talked me into it when he told me that not many female officers are in the program." she smiled.
"Are you going to introduce us, Captain?" a young oriental man asked with a small smile.
"Right, I almost forgot," Fuller said. "This is Officer Judy Hoffs, Officer Tom Hanson, Sergeant H.T. Ioki and Officer Doug Penhall."
"Pleasure to meet you all. " Charlie smiled
"Ah, there's an Andrew St. Clair here for an Officer Carvelli." A man in dark blue coveralls.
"He's early," Charlie said. "I'll see you all tomorrow morning. Can't keep the ex-Chief of Police waiting otherwise there will be hell to pay." she chuckled as she walked towards the door.
"How do you know the ex-Chief of Police and why is he here?" Tom asked.
"Uh, he's my-" she started before getting cut off by a deep voice behind her.
"Her grandfather," he said. He smiled when he saw Charlie, "You said it would be at least 20 minutes, it's been almost 30 minutes." he said.
"So you're related to both Andrew St. Clair and Vincent Carvelli." H.T. Ioki asked.
"I am but I don't see why it's a big deal," she said looking at them. After a few minutes, Charlie left with her grandfather.
"What do you guys think of Charlie? I think she would be a great addition to Jumpstreet. A new face. We can use her for when Hoffs is busy with another case or something." Fuller said. "I can't believe that St. Clair is her grandfather. I heard so many rumors about him back in my day. Most of them were bad."
"I think we should judge someone by who they are and not who their father or grandfather is," Judy said with a small smile.
"Exactly. I hope the Chief isn't doing this because she is the granddaughter of the old Chief of Police." Fuller said
"Don't worry Captain, I here due to my own talent," Charlie said from behind Fuller, which caused him to jump a little and turn around, "Sorry," she said. Charlie had forgot something and had came back to get it.
"That's quite all right. I have a case for you if you're up for it." Fuller said
Charlie looked at him a bit confused, "I thought I didn't start until tomorrow?" she asked.
"Well, that was before this case came up." He said looking at her softly.
Charlie nodded as she looked at him, "What the hell, I'll do it." she smiled at him.
"Great. You and Penhall meet me in my office in five minutes." Fuller said before walking off towards his office.
Charlie sighed as she looked at the others before heading to Fuller's office, once inside the office, she sat down in one of the chairs that were in front of the desk.
"What do you got for us, Captain?" Penhall asked as he walked in.
"There's been some attacks on some couples at Greghal Academy, a local...." he started
"A local private preparatory school for the rich and sometimes famous." Charlie finished which caused Fuller to look at her with a surprised look. "I have a sister in law that went there for a while." She smiled.
"Good to hear that you're familiar with it." Fuller smiled.
"What does a posh rich kid school have to do with us?" Penhall asked.
"There have been a few attacks on some couples that go there. And about three days ago, a couple, Tyler Rickler and Maggie Easton where found dead not far from the campus." Fuller explained to them.
"So you want me and Penhall to go in and get close to some of the students who might know something?" Charlie asked.
"Kind of and I want you to see what you can find out from Molly Fitzherbert, the leader of the so called group for couples, Lovebugs." Fuller said.
"Why us?" Penhall asked. "I'm not complaining or anything, just curious."
"The two of you are the best fit for a job like this. Tyler was jock and star studded student and Maggie was hard working girl from a poor family who also happened to be a cheerleader." Fuller said. "Your identities have already been made up and your transcripts have been sent to the school." He said as he stood up handing them both a folder on their new aliases. "Doug Thompson and Charlie Green."
"I hope you didn't make me a cheerleader." Charlie sighed as she grabbed the folder from him and opened it. "And you did. Great." She sighed as she shuffled towards the door, Penhall not far behind her.
"Oh hey guys," Fuller started which caused Charlie and Doug to look back at Fuller. "I know you guys have just met but make the couple thing believable." He said, they both nodded before walking out of the office and to their desks.
