" Love is real and natural but not for people like you and me, my love " - Ian's POV -
He knocked the door down and she wasn't there, not one single trace of her existence except for the lingering smell which seemed to draw him in and never leave. He couldn't have her in his life, not now, not ever.
He couldn't even bare to think about anything else, just her, all the fucking time. Ian was letting his wolf win over and he couldn't do that, has he not kept him happy all these years? Is this how this arrogant creature that he keeps inside him thank him?
You're just like me an arrogant, self-centred bastard.
' SHUT UP! ' Ian shouted covering his ears with his hands, he had had enough of everything. ' I shall find her and spend the rest of my days torturing her restlessly. '
NO! , his wolf whined and growled, he scratched his insides wanting to get out. Ian was battling with " himself " , the wolf would do anything to protect his mate and this was exactly what Ian wanted a reason to loose control so he could touch her, be with her but he'd never admit it, as well as he wouldn't go down without a fight.
YOU SHALL NOT HURT OUR MATE! , that's when Ian realised that he had become worse than his father, if there was anything that son of a bitch taught him was to put his wolf's needs and wants in front of everything.
Ian was a bad werewolf, he had only cared about himself whilst his wolf cared for both, his wolf had long stopped enjoying hurting people but endured it because it kept Ian happy. So why should he not do it now?
' Fine. We have a truce. ' he gave in, no point in fighting mentally a creature that was stronger and better than him in every way. He was a monster, his wolf was not. If he had to live with the wolf for the rest of his life he had to do what was best for both, what would keep both happy even if that meant including Lucy in his plans.
' Oh my God, Lucy! ' he had completely forgot that the girl had just slipped from his hands, he was sure he knew where she was, she couldn't disappear in thin air, she used the secret passage. Oh no...
AHHHHH
It was a bloodcurdling scream and it could only come from one person. Ian ran down two flights of stairs into the Red Door, he paused and sighed before entering.
' Maybe you should take care of this. ' he whispered to his wolf. The wolf nodded and Ian let the wolf control his mind. Ian pushed the door and looked around. The lights were on at its brightest and has he looked straightforward he could see the reason for Lucy's screams.
There stood the Italian tourist, Isabella, Ian had found at a bar, no family, friends, no nothing she was the perfect victim and her beauty had once been breath-taking now she wheezed every time she tried to breathe, Isabella was a painful sight for anyone that had the time to admire. She had her hands and feet cuffed to the wall and she was almost near the ceilling. Her back hunched but now she had used her last-strenght to look up at them, with dead eyes, a dry bloody face. Ian had had enough time in his hands to admire this everyday.
Isabella had lost her shine, a long time ago, she was easy to accomplish and easy to break. Ian had been thinking of ''getting rid of her'' for a while now but he never got around to it. There were always new preys and he seemed to be a succesful, busy predator. Besides, Isabella didn't scream much, Ian's special treatment had done a good job at keeping her powerless and quiet.
Poor girl, enjoying her very last night in the country, thinking of getting drunk and having wild-sex, doing things she wouldn't remember for the rest of her life. Ian licked his lips, Isabella could still take one more beating couldn't she?
Now is not the time. His wolf warned him, he came to his senses and looked at Lucy who was at his side, she was horrified, curled up in a corner looking at the sight of a young lady who was more or less like her, both human. Tears streamed down her face but she held back her strong emotions, she needed to be focused and regain strenght.
'Lucy, this is...You don't understand.' Ian sighed, he knew there was no way to explain this. To an outsider this was outrageous.
'Who are you? Why are you doing this?' Lucy asked loudly and then quietly, her voice shaking as the tears blurred her vision.
He moved closer to Lucy and she tried to back away, for the first time he was hurt and he showed it, which confused Lucy and made her wolf more sensible to his emotions. She thought that maybe he did have a reason.
' Please' he tried to reason with her, what else could he do? Ian held out his hand for Lucy to take.
Lucy thought about it for a minute, glancing one last time at Isabella and then looking into Ian's eyes that transmited safety, she raised her little cold, trembling hand into his strong, big one.
