Day 35, April 14th, 2009
Me and Dylon have sold 6 coyote pelts and several fox pelts in the past 2 weeks. We sell them relatively high because we need the money. We just now have enough to buy a cheap pistol. It will make hunting easier but we have noticed how animals are randomly dying, even the predators. We open them up and their insides have been completely broken down into a bloody, gut soup and what looks like a massive leech leeks out of them. We have decided we need to move to a more prey rich area. Dylon says the animals are dying because of the Demon Dog and I am beginning to believe a real demon is lurking. Dylon has healed completely but he seems sad and very lonely. I try and keep him distracted from being sad by telling stories but I rarely get him to smile. He said his parents were okay, he just got bullied in school a lot for his eyes. I told him they were so cool and beautiful, that it made him look handsome but he didn't believe me. Having 2 colors in one eye is so amazing! The blue in his eyes is so vibrant and light it's like the god of ice is staring at you and the brown is so solid and hypnotizing! I can never get him to be happy. I find myself running my fingers through his messy brown hair and drawing fake tattoos on his light tanned skin. He doesn't mind and says he's grateful to not be completely alone. I enjoy his company but I don't entirely trust him. He might turn on me like every one else did. He is a good kid, I just wish he were more happy.
