Day 40, April 19th, 2009
It's time to leave. We have made enough money to afford good food and a fishing rod, along with new clothes. We packed up everything we needed and we are trekking several miles north hopefully reaching new, non infected prey. We have notice prints. Wolf prints. We live in an area where there should be no wolves but we are curious. We will follow those prints to reach a new home but that creature- What Dylon calls a Night Prowler- is getting too close to us. We found prints very close to camp and massive claw marks that uprooted a good size tree. I don't know what it looks like but Dylon described it as a massive wolf with black armor plates, purple mouth and tall ears. He said it's gape is 160 degrees. And it has fangs as long as a banana. I don't know if I ever wanna see it...
Dylon is very quiet. He don't seem to trust me too much. He is easily startled so I gotta be careful. I've managed to make him more happy. He enjoys hearing stories and star gazing. He says his parents never did anything to him and yet he some how turned depressed. He said my life must have been horrible but I told him it was fine.
