I inhaled softly, the scent of warm caffeinated beverages filling my nostrils as I checked my phone for the seventh time.. Of course she missed the train, I rolled my eyes at the thought of Zara actually being on time, she was suppose to have met me at Starbucks over a half hour ago.
In the mean time I've made myself look like a fat fuck by preoccupying myself with two venti vanilla bean frappichinos with two pumps of raspberry and whipped cream... Tastes like fairy floss.
Finally the door swings open and my friend comes stumbling in knocking into a cute boy on the way, making her cheeks turn a bright shade of pink as she mumbled a sorry. She scanned the store and smiled in relief when she came across me.
"I'm so sorry Moya! I went to catch the train but I knocked into this old guy, and then he gave me a lecture about young people and intolerance.. I think, but I'm not really sure what that means.. and then when I got to flinders street, I saw these glasses, and let me just tell you they were PERFECT! And pretty cheap too, see? Do you like them?" She asked excitedly pulling the
retro looking sunnies out of her bag and putting them on, they really did suit her.
"They look great Zara" I told her "So you getting anything?"
"Could go for an ice tea right about now.."
"Passion or zen? And do you want lemon?"
"Venti ice passion, no lemon, thanks beautiful" she called, as I got up to buy her drink I bumped into something, or rather, someone...
I let out a little squeal as I fell on my ass.
A boy with red and orange died hair stood above me, he stuck his hand out for me to grab and started apologising profusely
"I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there, I'm such an idiot, are you alright?" He asked as he pulled me up.
I dusted myself off a little, "I'm fine, really it's okay"
He looked a little relieved, he stuck his hand out again, this time in a friendly way "well I'm Michael anyway, I really am sorry"
"Seriously, it's okay, it was an accident.. I'm Moya" I introduced myself shaking his hand.
"That's a nice name" he smiled warmly "well I'll see you around Moya" he waved goodbye as he left the coffee shop.
Well my morning couldn't get anymore hectic...
