This is all my fault.
His parents hate me.
His birthday is ruined.
I got frosting on his pants.
Everything is ruined.
"Hey". He says. His eyes are red and he sniffles. "It's okay. I'm okay". He kisses me and I kiss him back.
"I'm so sorry. I ruined your birthday". I say.
"It's not your fault. This party was amazing until my family showed up". He says chuckling a little.
"I know but I probably shouldn't have gotten so intense with the kissing". I say laughing a little.
"It was a good present". He says.
"Liam"! I say.
"Abbie". He says with a sly grin on his face. "You do know the drinking age is different here".
"Liam what are you suggesting". I ask. He bites his lip.
"Just a little". He says.
"Liam I don't know"...
"It will be fine"! He says.
"Fine if it makes you happy". I say. Okay who is this Liam I'm talking to. He is probably just sad. He kisses my cheek.
"Okay just don't hurt yourself". I say.
"I won't don't worry". He says. He runs into the other room and comes out a minute later with a bottle and two cups. He pours me a glass and one for himself.
"Cheers". He says.
"To Liam's birthday". I say.
"To my birthday". He says.

"So like, we should move to Hawaii". Liam says. I laugh.
"Why Hawaii"? I ask.
"Because it's nice there". I say.
"Oh my god". I say laughing harder. "You are drunk".
"Yeah I kind of am". He says. "But aren't you too"?
"No I have only had three"! I say.
"Three is a magic number! Yea it is it's a magic number"! Liam sings loudly.
"You are such a dork". I say.
"I am"! He pauses to be dramatic. "Very tired".
"Okay I'll drive us back to the hotel". I say.
"In me mums car broom broom"! He says. He laughs really hard at himself. "But really the keys are in the locker room". This place is a gymnasium by the way.
"Can you go and grab the keys". I say.
"YES MY LADY". He says very loudly. He walks by the dance floor and starts dancing. "I LOVEEEEE THIS SONG"!
"Just get the keys"! I say laughing. He dances into the locker room. "Idiot". I mumble to myself. I turn the radio off and start to clean up when I hear something that makes by bones tingle. A scream. It comes from the locker room. I drop what I'm holding and I run in. I open the door and see Liam laying on the ground.
"Oh my god"! I say. I run over to him and see his arm. I gasp and cringe. The bone is sticking out and he is crying. I pick him up and support him by putting his arm around my shoulder and mine around his waist. He walks with me but cringes every step.
"What happened"?! I ask trying to distract him from the pain.
"I was dancing when I tripped over something"! He says. "I'm such an idiot I'm so sorry Abbie".
"It's okay honey I'm calling 911 okay"? I ask.
"Okay". He says.

"Well Liam your free to go". The nurse says. I look at Liam's cast. He nods at the nurse and thanks her. I do the same. I help Liam up and we walk out to the car. Once we get there we sit for a second.
"Abbie I'm so sorry". He says.
"Stop saying that. I'm the one that should be saying sorry". I say. "I was the one who let you get ultra drunk and go alone to get he keys".
"I suggested the idea of getting drunk". He says.
"Your parents hate me".
"I was the one who kissed you". He says.
"I was one"-
"We could do this all night Abbie. How about we are even". He says.
"Okay". I say. I take a marker out of my purse. "Can I be the first to sign your cast"?
"But of course". He says smiling. I write.
