"Hey Y/N! I uh... I know we haven't talked for quite some time so I'm sorry if I'm botherin' ya or makin' ya feel uncomfortable by calling, but I uh... I want you to hear me out on this." Your voicemail rambled. The familiar voice caught your attention and you sat forward in your chair, catching your roommates attention. "So.. I don't know if you've been keeping up on recent works I've done, but I have a very successful show... Uh.. Supernatural.. I have a lead role open right now, if you're feeling it up to it, it would be nice if you decided to join us.. Listen Y/N.. I know we haven't talked for a long time, but when I was reading the script for this lead part, it just reminded me of you when we were teenagers, so I thought you'd wanna at least hear about it... Well, give me a call back if you want the job, you know my number, I'll be available." With that, the voicemail ended and you slowly pulled your phone away from your face, a look of pure disbelief written all over it. A lead role, for one of T.V.'s most popular show's right now? Eric never ceased to amaze you with these things.

Your roommate Cassidy peeked over at you and smiled. "You have another job offer?" voice raised in pitch at the end, making you wince a bit, but you loved her anyways. Not only was she your roommate, but she was your best friend since goodness knows when.

"Yeah, Eric Kripke, a friend of mine from awhile ago, called me, said he found a lead role that reminded him of me when we were teenagers, can you believe something like that?" You threw your phone onto the couch and pulled your hands down your face, rubbing at your aching sinuses.

"I personally think you should go for it Y/N, I mean look at you, not trying to say this in a bad way.. But... You do voice-overs for cartoon characters, magazine adsss... T.V. commercials.. You haven't really gone big, and look at you... You're an amazing, talented actress, you have everything you need to go for a lead role!" Cassidy encouraged, listing many reasons why you should definitely take the job.

Leaning back in your chair, you frowned through your palms. "I dunno Cassidy..." Your voice was laced with concern and uncertainty, but at the same time, you wanted nothing more but to take Eric up on his offer, seeing as this had been your dream for quite some time now. Finally removing your hands from your face, you met Cassidy's gaze, her electric blue eyes staring back at you with excitement. "You really think I'm cut out for this sort of thing Cas.. I mean, yeah sure this has been my life-long dream, but then again I've never done something as big as this before, so what if I mess up? What if I'm made fun of or something...? There's just so many things that could happen that aren't helping my thought process right now." Sighing you covered your face again, your hair falling around your hands, tickling your arms slightly.

"C'monnnnnn Y/N, pleaseeeeeee, for your best frienddddddd?" She begged, giving you the sweetest smile. See this is why you and her were great friends. Cassidy was your complete opposite, yeah sure you loved most of the same things, but when it came down to it, you were exact opposites, but in a good way. You were boring, a bit of an asshole, and although you were a bit of an asshole, you had the biggest heart. Cassidy on the other hand, was fun to be around, to even listen to most days, she was supportive and bubbly; always excited and positive... She was just someone you admired per say. When you gave her a nervous smile, her arms went up and her face contorted in complaint. "Y/N, don't you dare turn this down.. You are strong! You can do this! Come on now babe, just take the job, you'll enjoy it!" You rolled your eyes at her nickname for you, but quickly smiled at her, an actual toothy grin that was rare coming from you.

"Casssssss.." You groaned, sitting back in your chair dramatically. You peeked over at her when she was silent, meaning you had no other choice but to agree to take the job if you wanted her to talk to you ever again. "Ugh, Cas... You know what, fine, I'll take the damn job, just don't give me the silent treatment." Your answer seemed to please her, seeing as she finally smiled at you again and hugged you, crushing you a little bit in the process. When she finally let go of you, you caught your breath and gave her a playful glare. "Alright alright, enough attacking me already. Do you mind leaving me alone for a little bit so I can talk to Eric about joining the show?" You mumbled slightly. Cassidy jumped up quickly and nodded her head quickly, exiting the living room and disappearing into the kitchen.
