Trouble

Brrrring
I lazily sit into my asigned seat. I didn't mind it, there was an insanely cute guy sat across from me. Going on my third year of highschool I've never seen this kid before. For sure I'd remember, he's unforgetable. Except for one thing... his name. Starts with a C, I'm sure of it. Caleb? Not at all. Car- Car something? No, oh God. He sits down in front of me and I pretend not to stare. I didn't find myself whispering weird names until he spoke up.
"Chris, Cameron, Carter, Cody, Calum, Cole-"
"What?"
"Huh?" I looked up awkwardly.
"You said my name, Calum." The cute boy that now has a name chuckled a bit, with a confused look on his face.
"RIGHT." I raise my voice. "Your name is Calum. I was just making sure that you knew. A little test." I hide my face with my hair, waiting for him to go back to what he was doing.
This being our first conversation, (school started last week) I wasn't sure of his personality. He sometimes cracked jokes so I laughed a lot this period.
"You're Stella."
I looked up slowly, I didn't think he'd know my name. "That's me." I wondered if he had read it off my paper, or maybe listened closely during attendence last class. Whatever it was he had me blushing.
Calum and I kept chatting back and forth while we got lectured on cells. I was a bit confused when Mrs.Carpenter yelled my name. It was a rough conversation.
"Stella!"
"Huh?"
"What was the last thing I said?"
"Cells?"
"No, Stella. Detention today. After school."
"But I ca-"
"No."
"But ple-"
"No!"
I heard a familiar voice break in. Calum. I'm not sure what he was thinking, this wasn't a movie. Or some novel. There was no way in hell that Mrs. Carpenter, or any teacher for that matter, would simply go 'oh you're right! no detention!" But for Calum, at this point detention was inevitable. I think he knew that, but he still said:
"She was hardly saying anything."
So Mrs. Carpenter said, "Excuse me?"
Calum groaned, I sighed, and Mrs. Carpenter simply ended the conversation by stating a simple: "Detention for you too, after school, Mr. Hood." And she continued to teach.

Brrrrrring
I sighed, remembering the stupid detention. Slightly smiling at the idea of a whole hour of just me and Calum, I felt a little shove on my left forearm. I twist to tell this moron off, but end up seeing a huge grin on the one and only, Calum Hood's face. I roll my eyes, blushing disgustingly too much, and yell behind my shoulder, "Catch up pretty boy." You see, I wanted to say this, acting stylish. As in a cool, mysteriously cute teenage girl way. But I ended up saying something along the lines of "You coming?" and let me tell you this, that is nOT at all cute and flirty. It's dorky and lame. Once I stepped into the empty room, I sat down in a random seat near the back. Half a second later, Calum sat right next to me. Like right next to me. I looked over at him and raised my eyebrows, I know he saw, but he pretended to be clueless. I went to say something when a teacher I've never seen came in. He was old and looked angry and impacient.
"I don't care what you do, I don't care what you say. Don't leave this room and dont bug me" He swallowed a gulp of water and hooked some cheap airplane headphones into an audio book. In minutes he was asleep.
"Hey."
"Heylo Stella"
"Why're you in here?"
"You know why, Mrs. Ca-"
"No, I mean why'd you say anything. You knew you'd get detention right?"
"Yeah I knew."
"Then why would you even-"
"I wanted to see you, silly."
