Ryan's POV:
"OUCH!" I hit the guy who, from what Becky told me, was Charles. He turned around, angry, and then met my eyes. "Cutie, dud you just hit me?" I glared.
"You don't get to call me that." I fired another shot.
"I'm sorry..." He muttered, taking out what I assumed was TINA'S slingshot. He pulled back, aiming, and fired.
"NO!" Goldy had taken the shot, falling to the floor. And of course, a little lovebird came to the rescue. I growled and lunged at him with my good ol' lightsaber, but he dodged.
He lunged at me, and was dominating for a while until I noticed Ace pick up Tina and start taking her out of the room.
"LET HER GO!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, stealing the knife in Charles's pocket and stabbing him with it. He didn't even get to react be for I kicked his corpse across the room.
Now, chasing after Ace with the same knife and picking up a chainsaw I found along the way, I went to rescue the girl I used to- no. The girl I was in love with.
Goldy's POV:
I was in a large tree house. Though, this may seem weird to the normal person, it felt right to me.
I looked around, and there was a large video game set on one of the platforms that seems to have been built here.
"Goldyyyyyy!" That voice... Unicorn? "I'M HEEEEEEEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-"
"Alright, alright ya goof." I chuckled.
I ran down the ladders and stairs to properly greet my best bud, like a normal person in a normal house.
But when I saw his face I was conflicted. The me that was actually here felt so... platonic, but confused. And I, the future me felt... funny...
"I brought my controller, I was thinking something involving Mario so I could make Waluigi and Wario jokes the entire time." I giggled yet again, leading him upstairs to the biggest monitor.
After a while, he started conversation, but not the one I wanted to hear back then.
"Goldy... I..."
"Yea bud?" He shuffled, and was obviously upset about something.
"Goldy I love you." He rushed his words.
"I love ya too, bud!" STUPID. STUPID STUPID STUPID! I yelled at my past self.
"No I mean-"
"GOLDYYYYYYYYY I'M HOMEEEEEEEEEEE!"
"Papa!" I ran downstairs to give my dad a hug, leaving UnicornMann near the video set.
We talked for a while, but when I went back upstairs, he was gone.
"Hmm, I guess he had to go do some superhero stuff." I shrugged. "Oh, he left his controller."
Then, I opened my eyes, suddenly VERY aware of the face in front of me, covered by a mask.
"Goldy, are you alright?" I smiled, and I wasted no time to make our lips collide.
He kissed back. All of the memories flooded back.
The friendzones, the nicknames, the games, the troubles with potions and machines, everything.
"I'm sorry..." I muttered.
"What are you sorry about?" He questioned. I pulled his mask off, his green eyes- yes, green- widened in shock. He reached for his mask, trying to see if I was responsive, but seeing his true face did nothing.
"I'm sorry for friend-zoning you all the heckin' time, and making you feel horrible for something that I couldn't see."
"You..."
"I...?" I questioned.
"You looked at my face and didn't lose any sanity. Or maybe you did. The Goldy I know wouldn't have done that." I giggled. "Only my soul mate would've been able to do that." Wait what?
"Well I guess I'm your Golden Girl,"
"Don't you dare..." He started.
"Bud." I finished sarcastically.
"OH NO THE PAIN!" He yelled in dramatic sarcastic pain, knowing that I was joking. And we laughed together.
But we completely forgot what was going on around us.
