This night was officially the best night the second prince of the demon world had ever had in his whole life and same could be said for Xiongwei who knew nothing about having fun.
Chapter 15- Set Off
Just like that days went by at the beast forest and soon a whole month had gone by "wake up sleeping beauty" Xiongwei called out as he flicked the forehead of the second prince who was sleeping peacefully in his arms, thias action kind of became Xiongwei's signature move in waking up the second prince from sleep, after staying together for so long at the beast forest the two have grown to be very close to each other, they did almost everything together and Xiongwei had totally become the second prince teacher and protector while the second prince of the demon world was always the one been protected and guided whenever they went out to hunt beasts.
"Can you stop waking me up that way" the second prince complained as he rubbed his right hand over his eyes, Xiongwei ignored the second prince and instead started playing with his long hair, he did pull it slightly to straighten its length to the fullest and then coil it around his finger then he will repeat the process again.
"Stop doing that too, you are going to make me bald and I won't ever practice Buddhism" the second prince tried to get rid of Xiongwei's hand from his hair by hitting his hands away, he only succeeded because Xiongwei.
"Little prince" Xiongwei sternly called out.
With how serious he looked the second could foretell that Xiongwei was about to say something super important so he said "Yes, its anything the matter Xiongwei?"
"It's been a month and your parents or the people you said will be sent to come and get you have not come yet, and as you know I have stayed at the beast forest for far too long, I should have been home since two weeks ago and I am not one that doesn't keep to appointments so I am pretty certain that my people have started worrying about me too, I need to return soon little prince" Xiongwei said
The second prince eyes that were still a bit dizzy cleared up instantly upon hearing what Xiongwei had to say, he sat up from the crudely makeshift bed where he laid with Xiongwei and with a strained voice he asked "Are you going to leave me here alone" .
"If I did that then you did certainly die the second I leave here" Xiongwei playfully said and this made the second prince smile happily at his statement because Xiongwei's words implied that he will never leave him in the beast forest alone, it implied that he will never leave him in a dangerous situation, however, that didn't stop the second prince from worrying about his situation, Xiongwei couldn't keep staying here with him forever, he had a life and would have left a long time ago if not because of the fact that the people the second prince was expecting to come and get it haven't shown up yet.
At first the second prince of the demon world thought that it won't take long for his father to send people to come and get him and it won't be hard for them to locate him at the place he first appeared in the beast forest but now he is not so sure, maybe the trip from the demon realm to other realms is not as short as he had thought it was, maybe that tunnel he passed through to come to the beast forest was a kind of space that had already been shut closed and so his father had to send people to pass the longer and normal route.
The second prince thoughts were interrupted when Xiongwei spoke up again "We will stay here for two more days and if no one have come to get you up till then, I will have to take you to the nearby village where you can stay at a Tavern or Inn and wait, I know you said you don't want to leave the beast forest and I understand your reason but we are out of options and I really need to return home, also I believe that if your people check for you at the beast forest and don't see you then the first place they will go and check for you after here is that village, I have investigated it and it's the closest settlement to this place, its also safe" Xiongwei seriously said and the second prince eyes welled up with tears.
