I woke up to FRIDAY repeating the things that my dad had her say to me. "Wake up, Kiddo! It's the first day of school. C'mon, Y/n. You gotta get up and get dressed so you can eat.

I got out of my bed after a few minutes and grabbed a pair of ripped jeans and a f/b t-shirt and threw them on before slipping on a pair of f/c Vans. I grabbed my galaxy backpack off of my chair and stormed out of my room.

I walked down the stairs to see that my adoptive father and his girlfriend, hopefully wife soon, were sitting down at the "family" dinner table, smiling up at me with a whole breakfast buffet in front of them. But I skipped past all of the food and grabbed just a piece of toast to hold me off until I got into Happy's car.

I slung my backpack over my shoulder as I started walking to the next flight of stairs, but I turned around a step away from the stairs with my hands on my hips. "Thanks for the toast. Oh, and for getting me in this school, I really appreciate it, Tony. Truly!" And before he could stop me, or even say a word to me, I walked down the stairs as fast as I could.

When I got to the doors, I stopped. "FRIDAY, tell Dad that I'm sorry, it's just that my anxiety is rising and I'm very nervous for my first day at school."

After a few seconds, a voice popped up. "All done, Miss Y/n. He said he'll send you a message later. Have a good day."

With a nod, I happily walked out of the doors and to the black car that was waiting patiently waiting for me, and plopped down in the front seat. "Hey, Happy."

The man in the drivers seat smiled and handed me a f/Starbucks/d as well as a warm chocolate croissant from Starbucks. "Good morning, Y/n. Are you excited for your first day at Midtown High? I hear it's a very good school."

I rolled my eyes as I took a sip of my drink and a bite of my croissant. "Of course it's gonna be a good school, Happy. Any school that you have to apply to get into is a good school. But, "I looked at him as he watched the road, driving, "I'm absolutely terrified. I mean, I've never even stepped foot into a real school." I threw my hands in the air, exasperated. "I mean, I already, basically, know everything there is to know, plus more because Bruce and Dad taught me literally everything." I shook my head and started wringing my hands, "I-I just don't know what to do, Happy. I'm so nervous , like, I feel like I'm going to throw up."

Happy patted me on the back as he pulled into the drop off line. "It'll be fine, Y/n. Trust me. You'll be fine. High school isn't what it seems in movies. You will love it." Happy gave me a small smile as I stepped out of the car.

"Thanks for the Starbucks, Happy. Have fun at work!" I wiggled my fingers at him as I shut the door while smiling, but as soon as he left my eyesight, I shut down.

My hands started shaking violently as I walked through hallways, trying to find the guidance counselor, but after a few minute, I wasn't able to, so I looked around to find someone who didn't, necessarily, look threatening. Finding a girl with her brown hair up in a messy bun, I walked over to her. "U-um. Excuse me." The girl looked down at me with a raised eyebrow. "Uh, I'm new and I'm not able to fond the guidance office, so I was wondering if you could show me where it is."

The girl looked me up and down before nodding her head. "Names Michelle, or MJ.

I looked at Michelle as we took a left. "Y/n. Y/n Romanoff-Stark." I cringed, waiting for the major fangirling. But none came. "What? Nothing? Nothing at all? No 'oh my god! Like-like Tony Stark?!' wow. Maybe this schooling thing isn't so bad after all." I shrugged my shoulders with a tiny smirk on my face.

I looked up at MJ to see her stifling laughter. "Look, um, Y/n, although I'm a big fan of both Black Widow and Tony Stark, I'm just not the type of person that goes crazy over meeting them. And high school sucks. Wait. What grade are you in again? You don't look like a freshman."

A scarlet blush took over my face as I looked down at my moving feet. "Oh. Um. A junior. I-I'm a junior. And," I looked around the hallway that was bustling with students to make sure no one was eavesdropping. "And this is my very first day at school. Like, ever."  I looked up to Michelle, once again, to see that she finally had some emotion on her face. She was looking at me like I had five heads.

"Okay. Now I'm going to loose it. So you mean to tell me that you have never went to school ?" By now we stopped, and by the sign above the door, we were in front of the guidance counselors office. "You know what? We'll probably have some classes together, so sit by moi. Don't worry about sitting in someone's seat, no one likes to sit with me. So.... I'll see you later."

Michelle walked away from me with her nose in her book, but navigated through the crowded hall expertly.

I took a couple of seconds to myself, taking deep breaths before opening the door to see a man, whom I assume is the counselor, talking to a boy around my age that had light brown hair and pretty brown eyes.

"Oh, um, I'm so sorry. I-I should have knocked." I turned around to close the door and wait outside when a voice spoke up.

"It's fine, Mr. Parker was just leaving to wait to show you around." The boy stood up and grabbed his backpack and began his way out of the room. "And I assume you must be Y/n Romanoff-Stark." I wasn't really paying attention to the man because the boy, Parker, caught my eye and as he was leaving, I wasn't able to take my eyes off of him. That was until he had shut the door behind him.

I shook my head to clear my mind. "Oh, uh, yes, Sorry. Yes sir, I am Y/n."

He smiled at me as he motioned to sit in one of the two chairs that were in front of his desk. "My name is Mr. G and I am your counselor this year. So. Let's just dive right in...."

An hour later, I was finally out of Mr. G's office with my first ever class schedule and was told to look for Peter Parker outside. Seeing him, I opened my mouth to speak, but was cut off by my phone letting out a little ding, signaling that I had a text message and as I grabbed my phone out of my pocket, my phone went off again. With a groan, I looked at Peter. "Um, sorry. I have to check these. It's only my dad and sister who are checking up on me, so I'll be ready in a second. The boy nodded his head as I turned my back to him.

IronDad 💁‍♂️👨‍👧 : It's fine sweetheart, just have fun 2day! 🤓✨

Me: Okay! Thanks, Dad! Just don't use emojis or try to "text talk" again. Okay?

Nat🕷❤🖤: Y/N! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU! WhY Didn'T you TelL me that you were going to a pUbLIC SchOoL? I might be MIA, but that doesn't mean that I don't love you. I just needed to go and do something after everything that's happened the past few years. I love you lil sis.

Me: I love you too, Nat, but I'm at the school now, so I gotta go.

I silenced my phone and sighed in relief, turning to see Peter on his phone as well, so I walked up to him and softly tapped him on his shoulder to get his attention.

Peter quickly put his phone away and nervously smiled at me. "Ready?"

I took a deep breath and nodded with a sincere smile on my face. "Yeah. Let's go."

Then we began to walk to class.
