Hunter & harmony

Harmony woke up to the familiar sound of cars passing, and a baby crying. She opened her eyes and looked at her not so white ceiling, she sat up and scanned her room. Her room was fairly small, with her own bed, a dresser for herself, a television, some band posters, and photos scattered all over the walls, also in her room was a small crib for her baby brother James, who isn't currently in his bed. Harmony could see the door cracked a bit open, and she could hear the cries of her baby brother outside in the kitchen, most likely with her mother. Harmony got up, and rubbed her face from sheer exhaustion, having to stay up last night because little James couldn't sleep, and her mother was working on important business for her boss.

Eh. Her boss.

A class A creep if you asked her, Harmony's mother, Delilah was young when she had her, only being six-teen when she initially got pregnant, so now at they age of thirty-three her mother is still utterly stunning, with long curly brown hair, chocolate brown eyes, and a body that doesn't look like it's bared two kids, her mother is beautiful, and to her dismay men seem to notice that too.

Now, Delilah is a single parent, Harmony's father running out on them when she was only three years old. Gavin, her father, really wasn't parent material, and left when he got the opportunity, he left on Christmas, saying he was getting milk, yes because milk costed their life savings. Harmony despised her father, feeling like he doesn't deserve her mothers love, and feels like even if she never saw him again, it would still would be too soon. But because of that fact that her mother is beautiful, kind, caring, and a hard worker, men tend to appeal to her. Like her boss, Bruce, now Bruce met her mother when they were at their worst financial stand point, they were about to be kicked out of their already dead beat apartment, barely had enough for food, and Harmony's clothes were less then wearable. Bruce met Delilah at the grocery store, she was penny pinching at the register when he saw her, he felt bad and paid for the milk she was trying to buy. Harmony was only ten at the time, Bruce so conveniently needed a new assistant so after long conversation, a cup of coffee and some back story to her life, she got the job, now don't get her wrong, Harmony is grateful to Bruce, the job isn't high paying but it puts them in a comfortable spot financially. But it's obvious that he has feelings for her mother, and she also obviously doesn't return them.

Like about a year ago, when out of the blue her oh so active parent of a father returned to see how his daughter was. In all honesty he ran out of money and needed somewhere to crash, which her mother was to kind to push away even after everything. Lets just say one drunken night of remembering their past relationship led to many beers, and her baby brother. Worst part was her dad stuck around for a while this time, Bruce hated him, because Her mother was feeling for her dad once again, only to be left alone, again. Gavin left one month before James was due.

Bruce was the one to console her while she cried, and helped her through the rest of the pregnancy. But out of everything the main reason she hates Bruce, is because of his son Jason.

Yes, Jason is Bruce's son, at first he wasn't like this, when they had first met at the age of ten, Jason was so kind and shy. They were best friends, but, like any normal adolescence both Jason and Harmony began to change, he became larger in stature, and build.

The hitting didn't happen until she was fourteen, they were home alone, waiting for their parents to come home after an important business deal, when Jason let his hand lay on Harmony's thigh, she didn't think anything of it until he tried to go somewhere she didn't want him to go, and pushed him away. He didn't appreciate that, and slapped her.
