⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LIKE A FLOWER made of iron Stella Ember was as delicate as a flower yet held the strength of iron. She had a heart of gold and a smile which shined brighter than any star in the galaxy, but she was also selfless and would rather sacrifice herself than watch her loved ones suffer.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After the conclave concluded, the human race needed to decide who would be picked to survive in the bunker while the world went up in flames. Stella knew she never had a chance at being picked because she simply wasn't as important as the others, so her selfless nature caused her to write down her father's name instead of her own. But her father had the same idea, so when her name was called, there was no way she could fight against her father's decision.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While the radiation scorched the Earth's surface along with all the lost souls they had to abandon, Stella hid away in a place no one could hear her cry. But Stella wasn't alone; the hero herself, Octavia Blake, was hiding in the dark, sobs escaping her lips.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was that night, the two girls found solace in another person after years of being tortured by the loss of their loved ones. And Octavia Blake found herself falling for the girl with stars in her eyes and sunbeams in her heart.
