It was a cold and gloomy day. Everyone stood outside quietly holding umbrellas over their heads to the rain off them as they watched it fall into the hole in front of them.
Katsuki looked up at the grey sky with a mixture of sadness and annoyance. It always rained during a funeral in cheesy stories and movies, but this wasn't a story, it was real life. And in that six-foot hole laid Izuku Midoriya.
It was a devastating fight. The villain was one who controlled steel. Midoriya was the first one to arrive at the scene ready to fight. It didn't take a genius to know that Midoriya could overpower her a single punch and she knew it.
___
What had actually happened during those few minutes before anyone else showed up, no one could fully say, there were only rumors and stories that the villain had Dekus running left and right to keep her from hurting nearby civilians.
When Bakugo and the team arrived, Deku was nowhere to be seen, but the villain was injured enough to easily take her down.
Once the fight was over, the search for Deku began.
Uraraka was the first to find him and was the most devastated, he was found on top of a pile of rubble. At first glance, he looked as if he was peacefully sleeping with a soft smile as if it was his way to let people know that he was ok, and anyone would've thought he was. If not for the sharpened metal pole sticking out of his chest.
Bakugo clenched his fist in an attempt to stop the tears as he remembers that horrible day.
"Midoriya is dead!" Kirishima shouted
Bakugo snapped his head up and stared at Kirishima "deku's dead?" he repeated with a nervous laugh reading the emotions off of the red head's face before breaking out into a sprint to where he was pointing.
Iida was already there in front of the rubble trying his best to keep Deku out of view.
"Bakugo. It's best if you stay ou-"
Bakugo pushed Iida out of the way. For once he didn't throw an insult and quietly walked to where Uraraka was sobbing. Bakugo looked at the piled and dropped to his knees.
He looked so peaceful
____"Bakugo, the funeral is over...let's go home" Katsuki nodded absently and followed Kirishima as he walked to the exit.
Uraraka stood at the exit saying her goodbyes to friends and family. She was forcing herself to sound happy and everyone knew it.
"I'm sorry for you loss Uraraka...I know how much you loved him. If you ever feel lonely or need someone to talk to, just give us a call" Kirishima spoke softly and quietly.
Uraraka nodded. This wasn't the first time she's head this and it shows. "he died doing what he loved, he couldn't have wanted any other way to go" she forced out and waved the two goodbyes.
___
"he's still warm. M-maybe there's still hope! Maybe you can help him" Uraraka begged the EMTs as they carried her husband away covered by white fabric.
Once they loaded Izuku into the ambulance, one of them turned to look at her with pity.
"I'm sorry Uravity. But we can't help him" he whispered and got into the front of the truck.
Uraraka watched the ambulance drive away before falling to her knees and letting out a pained shout.
Iida quietly walked to her side and helped her up. "let's go take you home so you can calm down" he quietly told her and he helped lead her off the scene.
The small house they lived in suddenly felt bigger without Izuku. Everywhere she went, some part of Uraraka expected her loving husband to step out from around a corner and tell that that this was a cruel joke, or to get a call from the hospital and say that Izuku is somehow alive and breathing. But nothing came. And she was left alone in the house she once shared with the green haired hero.
___
There's probably a bunch of mistakes in there but I can't look over the story or else I'll end up crying again because this is somewhat based off of what's happening right now in my life but with a little more because I need to let out these emotions but I can't talk to my family. So have this messy and confusing story.
